I have 6 of these – I buy them every so often strictly to archive all of my work – there simply for storage purposes, not used as primary drives. Bottom line – for my needs, they perform.

it works well, loud but according to tests seagate is most reliable brand, and i can attest to that, nowadays where there is only essentially 2 companies on the market its either western digital and all companies it has bought vs seagate. I have had seagate and thoshbia portable hard drives failed on me but never seagate. also was not a problem with opening it via app on mac with its native ntsf format.

used one of these for work, and had to get one of my own. Plenty of storage space for what I need, and it works reliably.

As a owner of a production company, having multiple backups drives is a way of life. Every year I upgrade my drives to avoid a failure. This HD was the right size for the right price.

Accurately described. Great value for money. Great for Xbox one extended storage.

I use these to backup my Mac and they work beautifully. Quiet, small form, and so far theyve been very reliable. Thanks B&H for a great price, fast shipping and a positive experience!

Finally all my data on only drive! Easy to use, quick access. What else could you want?

It’s doing what it’s supposed to for me, which is storage. Granted you can edit videos off this drive but if you have patience then you should be ok. Use proxies. I wouldn’t try editing 6k raw or anything heavy like that, but for storage of pictures, videos, etc. this is a good amount of space. I’ll probably buy more soon. When dealing with raw footage and images, space can run out quick.

I have been watching the price expecting to wait until Black Friday but when I saw the deal I just had to go for it.

This drive is very easy to use, just plug it in and go. Truly amazing that it is 8TB for a reasonable price. A good way to backup photos and other files.

I have bought this disk for back up. It is fastest than I supposed. It has plenty of room for backing up videos and photos.
