IBesides providing a place to back up all my stuff, I really like the two USB ports it provides. And, it works well. Moreover, this brand doesn’t seem to fail – at least not as quickly as other brands I’ve used over the years.

I just connected it and the computer immediately recognized it right away.

Easy to install and get working. Reasonably fast to read from and write to. Good value for the money………….

It’s seems to be fast enough for an external HD. Most aren’t lightening fast and this is no exception. But it works well for the video file archiving I need it for. I don’t need or use the USB feature.

Have purchased two for efficiency and speed as redundant backups for photographic and research data. Pleased with results including USB hub, which adds quick convenience for temporary tasks.

I bought a back up for this backup. It makes an incredible amount of noise, but I guess this is to be expected with an actual moving hard drop. (remember it’s not an SSD). I haven’t had any problems with it, but it’s just noisy.

If you are considering this you might want to consider going SSD.

I love my new Seagate 4 TB external hard drive with USB Hub. I opened the box, found all the parts carefully wrapped, unwrapped them, plugged the cable into my computer & the external drive, and started downloading movies to the external drive. It worked flawlessly and the movies downloaded quickly. I have several other Seagate external drives about 5 years old, and they are also working flawlessly today.

I was really excited to receive this large hard drive to back up my video files. The only down side I can say is the installation. It wanted to use the Seagate software that was on the drive. At first it didn’t really work properly, but finally got it working with some experimentation. Now it works great.

Outgrew my 5TB drive, and this is the replacement. The drive is silent except for the occasional light chunk of the drive heads moving. I get about 120 MB/s read/write speeds via the USB 3 cable.

Seagate’s 14 TB Backup (with USB 3.0 hub) is a very good buy. Thousands of photos require a large backup external drive. This 14 TB Seagate is the perfect choice. And the two USB 3.0 ports on the front are very handy.

Been a huge fan of Seagate for many years. I was buying Lacie until Seagate bought them out. As a film editor and music creator I have a whole house full of hard drives, been that way for a long time and I’ve always relied on Seagate to keep me backed up and ready to go. I purchased my first 8TB from Costco in an attempt to move a lot of files to this one place like a server, who would think I’d fill it up so soon, but here I am almost out of space, so since I’ve had such great luck with this drive, I did not hesitate to purchase another one. I really like the extra usb ports on the front! When you have as many drives as I do, having that USB port there is a time saver when I’m needing to get some files moved over quickly. Great drives! I don’t see myself purchasing another brand! I’d take a picture, but I have too many to even try and get into one picture!
