Store, access, and edit up to 14TB of data, whether at home or on-the-go, including documents, music, movies, photos, and more with the 14TB Backup Plus USB 3.0 External Hard Drive with USB Hub from Seagate. This drive connects to your system using its integrated micro-USB 3.0 (micro-B 10-pin) port and provides data transfer speeds of up to 160 MB/s, while also being backwards compatible with USB 2.0. In addition to its storage capabilities, this drive has also been equipped with dual front-mounted USB 3.0 Type-A ports, which can be used to recharge your tablet, smartphone, or camera, as well as back up files, even if your system is turned off or in standby mode.

Also included is downloadable Seagate backup software, a 4′ micro-USB 3.0 to USB Type-A cable, a power adapter, and a complimentary four month membership to Adobe’s Creative Cloud Photography Plan.

This is my third Seagate USB 3.0 external HD with USB Hub because I have never had a problem with the first two. I started with a 2TB, then bought a 4TB, and now an 8TB as my need for storage space steady increases over the years that I’ve been running by photography business. These external HD are reliable which is important to me and my clients whose work gets stored on them. Of course, who can’t use a couple more USB ports too!

This is the second of the Backup Plus Hub drives that I have purchased. the first 6GB version has worked well for years. The new 10GB one seems to be working well once I got it properly to support Mac OS’s Time Machine. Note the quick start instructions should not be followed if you want to format this drive for use with Time Machine! Seagate should mention this in their quick start guide, however the information on how to properly format your drive is on their web support site. I must admit that I have been very impressed with how Seagate packages this drive. It is virtually all recyclable paper or card board other than the plastic bag around the drive. The drive comes with a 2-month membership offer for Adobe’s Creative Cloud Photography Plan. I tried to use it and got to the add the license code at the Adobe site and the number Seagate gave me was not valid as it had already been used. I asked Seagate support about this about 1 week ago and have heard nothing from them. I hope that if you have an actual problem with the drive that they respond in the 1-day they state they will respond within.

Bought this to backup an internal 8T drive that stores all my video and photos. Took about 10 hours or so to backup 2 T. Its a USB drive so I didnt expect it to be done in 30 minutes. Its fast enough to stream music and even 4 K video without stuttering. You won’t likely find a better option at $150. Shipped fast as usual from B&H. Thanks

Works good, generating 165GB files (all 13 card bridge hands, 97 files), then compressing to 17GB, for later analysis. Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on ========= === ==== ==== ===== =========== /dev/sdb2 7.3T 1.2T 6.2T 17% /media/usr/seagate8TB3

Seagate has been reliable for me for years. This is in addition to other 4GB external drive filling up and 2GB flash drives used for travel that are already owned. USB hub a nice addition, providing more easy versatility. Special pricing the real draw to a timely purchase. B+H characteristically with great service.

i bought the 8tb version in b&h, only used it for a month, the disk started to run slow then crashed. mechanical fail, now im spending 1 thousand us dollars to recover just 200 gb of information. i do monthly backups didnt last that long. Will never buy seagate again.

This drive has a lot of space for my backups. It took a long time to backup 4TB of data from my computer. Im replacing two 4TB drives with this one and one new internal 8TB drive. This should do the trick as Seagate are probably the most reliable drives out there

It’s a big drive for a reasonable price; the speed is largely irrelevant to me — I use it as my central repository for raw image files. This format of drive also has the useful USB 3 pass-through ports on the front and though I don’t use them at present, they might be very useful in future.

I bought the Seagate 8TB Backup Drive because I am concerned about redundant storage. I was going to use it to back my other drives into it. Liked the drive so much I am using it for my main drive and using the others to back up the Seagate drive.
