USB C is advertised, but it comes with an adapter and will not connect at high speeds the USB C on my Mac Studio. So stating it connects to USB C is misleading because in reality the connection speed with negotiate at a much lowers speed. I will be returning for a real USB C Drive.

Decent low cost drive with good durability.

I bought two of these for professional use. They are the only hard drives that our design team have ever fought over. Our other external HDDs are now consolation prizes. Plus – they look great if handed over to clients or pulled out for a meeting. I bought several more! We’re using Macs and have formatted them accordingly.

on a usb 3 hub, 10 hours for 200gb. Same port same computer did 2tb in half that with a different (also Seagate) external drive. not sure if I got a lemon but won’t try this model again. in case it matters, this comes as exFAT, I had reformatted to NTFS

I needed password protection and this was easy to set up on my MacBook.
