Built with a compact form factor and ready for on-the-go usage, the 2TB Expansion Portable USB 3.0 External Hard Drive from Seagate is preformatted exFAT, meaning it is compatible with Windows and Mac right out of the box. This hard drive provides a storage capacity of up to 2TB and connects to your host system using its micro-USB 3.0 interface, which also provides bus power using an included USB 3.0 cable, meaning that no external power is required. Copy and saving data is easy – simply drag and drop. Also included is Seagate’s Rescue Data Recovery Services.
Please note that reformatting may be required for use with Apple’s Time Machine. Also, Rescue Data Recovery Services is not available in all countries.

I thought I would need this for extra image backup. Didn’t use it for the trip, but I am sure it will get plenty of action.

It’s plenty big enough for what I want. I wish it was a little faster. Price was right.

I purchased this drive to backup all my data. With 4tb of space, I was able to fit all of my data so everything is backed up and stored in a safe location. I recommend you back up your data too. This drive is small, slick looking and worked great. While I did get decent transfer speeds with the USB 3 connection, I did not get full USB 3.0 speeds, so it did not perform at true USB 3.0 expected speed and for that reason, I cannot give it 5 stars. Worked great with Windows 10. Great price from B&H and awesome free shipping, you cannot beat this deal! I purchased another one to backup my imac.

I’ve been on an adventure for over two years now and this is the only harddrive that is not giving me any problems. I’ve been on any road you can think of and in temperatures between -40*C and 48*C. Its really bombproof!

It worked as expected right out of the box. Only tested it, have not used it extensively.

I needed another portable hard drive and I saw this one. 1TB capacity for $55, outstanding value. The drive is about the size of a cell phone and lightweight. I have purchased several Seagate drives over the years and I have not had one failure. I am very pleased with my purchase!

works well with my old ASUS Windows 7 computer.

Yep, a bit larger than an iPhone but it has 5TB of storage. I’ve just begun using it. It should be as reliable as the other Seagate Drives I’ve used. They’ve all lasted a long time. No complaints. Definitely like the smaller size.

HD will constantly stop working! Don’t buy it!

I have the 2TB and needed more capacity and the 5TB provides it. The 5TB seems to be two 2TB packaged together ( the height is twice that of the 2TB, otherwise same dimensions ). the 5TB seems to vibrate a little more than the 2TB — not an issue — just hope it does not affect the life of the unit)

Sure this drive does its job and it looks nice. But there are two downsides: – The plastic case seems to big for what it holds inside. When you hold it you feel it gives back under the thin plastic, so there is air in there and you know the drive could have been smaller. And for portable drives, size matters. In portable lives every little space in your bag matters. – The stripes on the side. These catch a bit of dirt. But it looks nice.

Worked great out of the box, no hiccups backing up my files.

Very good for large and portable storage.

This is probably the best option for backup on a low budget drive. I bought several and I haven’t had one of them die or crash.
