Easy to set up, small considering, and so far so good.

It’s a big drive, a tad on the slow side, and a little on the loud side but I can’t complain. It does what I want it to and that is hold a lot of information and take up as little amount of space as it can.

This drive was easy to set up. It is fast and works flawlessly. I bought this unit to replace another brand drive that failed almost immediatley after it was purchased. I would certainly buy another.

I only use mechanical hard drives for Time Machine backup for my Macs. Every brand doesn’t seem to work well for this purpose so I buy WD or Seagate for this. I use 2 drives along with a cloud backup.

This expansion was very easy to set up and get started. It worked exactly as I expected it to. No issues in the usage and am so excited to get to load up all my stuff on it and start really using it!!

Installed easily, but there is no software to use/monitor/control it. There is , however, there is great option to SUBSCRIBE to some software. disappointed. Have had HD drives that were much better. is it still returnable?

If you are considering the purchase of a new hard drive, think about what tasks you expect from the drive and how you intend to use it. I do not expect this to be the fastest drive and do not utilize it as a daily scratch disk. Purchased as a network backup and archival storage, this drive is perfect for that task. Unlike other reviews, I have found zero issues with the drive or included power and cables. Plug. Play. Archive.

As a owner of a production company, having multiple backups drives is a way of life. Every year I upgrade my drives to avoid a failure. This HD was the right size for the right price.

We have four of these used on two sites for Windows backup. They have been uniformly reliable. File transfer is quick, and the drives are quiet throughout. The cases do warm up during extended operation. The Seagates are an unobtrusive addition to the office environment, do the job, and give no cause for concern.

As a professional photographer, I need high quality storage space that I can count on. I have used the Seagate Hard Drives exclusively for many years with no problems. The 6TB size is perfect for main storage and back up. I have 8 hard drives total, 4 for main and 4 for backup.

Cost efficiency and wonderful quality.. Above all, I just made a transaction in Apr, 2021. As you know the shortage of semiconductor, my order is delivered in Oct, 2021. But I’m sure B&H keep their keep promises to customers. It’s wonderful!!! thanks.

I had been looking for at least 16 TB to house all my videos and I finally found the right one. Great price and easy to set up.

The constant grinding noise this thing makes is awful. I was going to just deal with it, but I can’t. I’m sending it back.

Bought two, back up to both so if one eventually fails I still have data. Not the fastest drive but for backup its price performance is excellent.

This drive is just what I needed for backing up my photos locally. I use a 9TB Raid for my primary photo storage along with CrashPlan for an online storage, but like to have a local backup of my photos and this drive fulfills my needs.

I have 2 other drives like this (5TB though). I have had no issues and install in minutes with no drivers or complication.

It’s a disk, it stores things, and it just works.
