Built to deliver speed, endurance, and capacity to gamers, the 4TB FireCuda 120 SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD from Seagate uses a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface and 96-Layer 3D TLC BiCS4 NAND flash technology to deliver sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s, sequential write speeds of up to 540 MB/s, random read speeds of up to 100,000 IOPS, and random write speeds of up to 90,000 IOPS. Also featured is a 2.5" / 7mm form factor, a Total Bytes Written (TBW) of 5600TB, an MTBF rating of 1.8 million hours, and an endurance of 0.7 Drive Writes per Day (DWPD). Using Seagate’s free and downloadable SeaTools SSD software, you’ll be able to monitor your drive’s health and performance, as well as update its firmware.

I have had this for almost two months now. I use it primarily for my steam library. Fast transfer rates and load times. I was hesitant about buying this because of the price, but I can tell you it’s worth every penny.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the build quality of this drive. It performs well. While the drive is marketed for gaming, and would certainly be fine for that, I bought it because it had higher write endurance than many of its competitors. It’s working as a boot drive for a MidnightBSD install on UFS2. The connectors seemed durable and the outer case seemed higher quality than some of my other SSDs. It just feels like a well-built product.
