The SIIG USB 2.0 to VGA Pro Adapter is an adapter that allows you to connect your desktop or notebook PC to a monitor, LCD or projector for an extended desktop or additional display. This adapter offers 16MB of display memory for compatibility with standard and widescreen monitors with resolutions of up to 1600 x 1200 at 32-bit and 1920 x 1080 at 32-bit.
The default extended mode extends your desktop (either to the right, left, above or below of the main display) so you can view multiple windows. In this case windows move from the primary display from the right side and enter the extended display from the left side. The mirroring mode allows you to see the same image on both monitors. It supports hot plugging, so the adapter can be connected to your components without interrupting operation.
This adapter is a quality choice to enhance your computing experience, as it is ideal for expanding or mirroring your main display to a second with the necessary requirements for dual monitor functionality.
Note: Make sure the proper version driver for your graphics card is installed. This adapter is not designed to work with Windows Standard VGA Graphics Adapter driver. System requirements are listed in the specifications tab.

I use the product for a second monitor for my MacPro. It did not work originally, but went to the mfr’s web site and downloaded most current driver. Works beautifully now. Great product!

What more can I say than this little jewel works! I had tried another brand that didn’t begin to work after hours of trying to change settings, etc. The SIIG was a true plug-and-play. I plugged it in, downloaded the driver from the company website (rather than using the one included, to make sure I had the latest driver), and away we go! Simple! If you want to add 1 or 2 monitors to an already existing setup, this is the way to go. Don’t bother with an internal video card.

this worked perfectly. I installed the driver from included disc and got it up and working within 5 minutes. I have a late 2011 macbook pro and using a dell 21 monitor at 1600 x 1200 resolution.

When I first installed this on my iMac it wouldn’t let me with the CD that it comes with. I then went to the Display Link website and downloaded the drivers from there. Although the product did work after that, I can’t scroll on webpages and watch certain videos. Hopefully this is something that will be fixed soon with a driver update.

For the price, this is a great video output adapter. The main advantage over others at the same price point is that it’s compatible with mac and pc.

I already use two monitors with my dual display PICe card. I wanted to extend display with third and fourth monitor. This device has resovlved the issue. It was very easy to setup.

I installed this on my windows 7 mini-laptop. Installed pretty quickly (Required a re-boot). I only run business applications, so I notice no lag at all. The only problem is that the video quality is not nearly as good as my main monitor, even though both are very high quality LCD’s. I have brightness and contrast as high as possible, but the USB controlled monitor is noticably dimmer and the images less sharp. Having said that, its a good, cheap option to run a second full size monitor. I now have two monitors, so tons of desktop space, which is really what I wanted without having to switch to a desktop computer.

I installed in my macbook Pro 15 hoping to have a third screen… but the resolution at 1600 is a little blurry… so if you are going to use it in a profesional way, the lack of 1920 and that It has no sharpness at all will make your life difficult. It has a little delay as well…. Nothing to serious… but enought to get you crazy if you are a super fast professional something…
