SIMPLE, GOOD ONE

Too bad that I did not read the text before ordering it and looking at the photo I thought that it was a solid piece only USB-A. Having two types on a single drive is excellent only if when you plug the drive in they stay in place. Instead it swivels continuously and must use your fingers to keep it firm. I would reccomend a fixed single USB type. For the rest looks great, I did not have the chance to test the speed, so far.

Fits very tightly into certain USB jacks.

I bought this to replace an older Silicon Power drive which I accidentally buried somewhere doing landscaping work. I love how naturally they fit on a key chain. This version is a major upgrade, with it adding both USB 3.0 and an optional USB-C port in addition to the USB-A on the drive. Putting it in the USB-C position even makes it more compact than before. The speeds are also quite good. It struggles on mixed reads and writes, but sequential reads and writes are very fast. I highly recommend.

Good looks and better performance

While the appearance of this drive is nice and it is relatively fast to read, writing is very slow. Using a single thread I am seeing and overage sustanded rate around 10M/s and with multiple threads it drops below 2Mbps. Reads are coming in at 103MB/s with a single or multiple threads. I am transferring large files (50MBtyes each) I bought this drive to mail a bunch of photos and it will take well over an hour to load about 55GB. For this purpose, and considering the low price, it is acceptable. However, I will not buy another one due to the slow write speed. For day file transfers is it probably a decent solution but for large amounts of data it could be much better. As a reference point, with a single thread my SanDisk Pro drive will write the exact same files at 60MB/s continuously with a full file system (6x faster). Continuous read speeds are on par.

Not everything can be in the cloud. Thumb drives are hard to use with a Mac because if the Mac i/o. This drive allows you to work with USB and USB-C ports.
