Im able to connect more than one item such as flash drive and a back-up which is a great advantage and easy to use.

I am writing this so no one else makes the same mistake I did and not read the fine print. This product, used up one of my USB-C ports on my laptop and I was not able to plug my La-Cie USB-C Portable drive into the open usb-c port on this docking station. I took it for granted that the thunderbolt symbol on the product would support my la-cie portable drive. For me this docking station was not a good choice, for it just uses up my usb-c drive and only gives me but a few more ports more then I already have. It is my fault for choosing wrong (not reading the fine print) and then not testing for 2 months until I had to travel and needed it. That is why I am writing this so no one else makes this mistake. I now have an unusable product in a box in a closet.

This docking station works fairly well but I notice that you really can’t plug in multiple USB hard drives without it ejecting itself. I’m not sure why this is but I kept getting a notice from my Macbook when I plugged in more than 2 drives at a time. This is disappointing as it kind of defeats the purpose of this. I’m hoping it is more of an user error than an issue with the docking station. I need to keep testing but this is something to be aware of. It is quite a bit cheaper than other docking stations but this might be the reason.
