As stated above, I use this machine only for paper crafting…I have a more sophisticated machine for sewing purposes.

Great mending and alterations machine, basic stitches, and unlike most computerised machines, the motor in this is quite powerful! I was powering through denim canvas and even neoprene wetsuit fabric on my first day of on-set tailoring for an advertising job…. Buttonholes on this machine are pretty rubbish, and so are the accessories, get yourself some good quality needles, bobbins and thread and your good to go!! If you dont need all the bells and whistles of a fancy machine, save your money and buy a good serger too!!

I have used the machine twice and have not had a problem yet. I am satisfied with the price; good price for what it does. I would recommend this machine.

I bought this Singer sewing machine three weeks ago, and since then I have sewn a button-front shirt, altered a pair of khakis and a pair of jeans (including sewing through a thick double-folded hem), and sewn three T-shirts. This Singer performed flawlessly on all these projects, and is so easy to use. I much prefer it to computerized sewing machines, with all their beeping and losing all your stitch settings if you have to turn off the machine for awhile. I like that this Singer Simple 3223 uses a standard Class 15 bobbin, which is very easy to find in stores. I think it’s easy to thread–I don’t need an automatic needle threader. I like the wide variety of 23 stitches on the machine and the automatic buttonholer. I like that it came with with a zipper foot, buttonhole foot, and button sewing foot. I do wish that it had come with an extra spool pin for twin needle sewing, but I made one from a wooden dowel, so that’s okay. The machine was a very good value, and does everything I need in a sewing machine which is mostly sewing clothes.

I got this little machine for my 10 year old granddaughter and it has been great. Just the right size for her to learn how to sew. It’s very easy to thread.

My Grandson runs 5 K’s and they get T-shirts each run. When he was 7 he decided he wanted to cut them into squares and make a quilt. He and I made it together and he has been sewing together ever since. He is now 12 and has enough to make a King quilt, so I bought it for him to make completely on his own. I am also teaching the little girls next door (5 and 8) to make costumes and doll clothes. They love it.

Great machine! I am 50 and haven’t sewn since I was in Jr High. It didn’t take too long to get into the swing of it again. This is a great machine, not too fancy but exactly what I needed. The cd itcomes with explains how to do everything. There are also tons of videos on YouTube in case you get stuck. The only thing is I wish it was self-threading but that one was out of stock, but that’s ok because I would purchase this one again in a heartbeat!

I purchased this machine for my 9 year old granddaughter. When she showed interest in sewing I sent her to the classes Joanns offers and told her if she liked it I would get her a sewing machine. She loved it. I wanted to get something that was not to expensive but a good product. After an hour or so of reviewing the instructions together, which were very easy to follow, she started her first project. This machine was very easy for her to use with no problems. This machine is great. I told her that I might have to get one for myself. I LOVED IT. I am glad my choice was the 3223 Simple. A plus…the pink matches her room.

I bought this machine for my 12 year old daughter and it has been a great machine for her. It is a little more basic than I expected, but she was able to make a quilt with it and was happy. I do wish it was a little more powerful, but it is fine for the level she is working right now. She really likes the yellow color and that made her happy. She is proud to have it and does not want another one with more functions. I think she is attached to it.

I haven’t sewed for a very long time and wanted to sew, maybe start with little things and move up. I got the Singer basic machine because they have been in business for years. I could not have chosen a better sewing machine. The bobbin thread is so easy to load. The machine itself is easy to load. It comes with a detailed instruction book and diagrams. Everything about it is more than I expected. I Love IT! I am going to move up to a bigger machine and I can’t wait!!

I have used this to make clothes, patch jeans, mend sheets, and other reusable products for our home. Love the button option, and all of the decorative stitches, Plus the type of Stitch that is closer to a serger than just a zigzag Stitch(not sure the name).
