I admit, I’d never used a power saw like this on my own before. I used it for flooring and thought it was wonderful. It was easy to use, made perfect cuts, and will come in handy for future projects. The instructions are pretty complicated for a first timer, so I watched videos of people using saws and had no trouble. The dust bag wasn’t much help with saw dust, either.

I followed the instructions for setting everything up, and they were easy to read and understand. Most things on this saw worked right out of the box, except the fence which wouldn’t quite get to square. I found that the factory holes upon which the fence mounts would not allow for squaring, so I used a drill bit to mill them out some. Everything else works fine.

A great saw from a home improvement point of view. Thinking back to my construction day, seems like it is solid enough to handle that type of use (I know, construction purists wouldnt be caught dead with this thing. Its all about Dewalt, Bosch, Hitachi, Milwaukee). We are currently replacing the floors with Pergo and it is handling the task like a champ.

If you want a miter saw that works well and is easy to use, this is the tool for you. Clean cuts every time. Also it is lightweight and easy to transport. The only negative thing I could say about this saw is that the laser is very faint and you can not see it when working in daylight.

I would have rated this miter saw 5 stars if the laser light would have worked. When I plugged the saw into a 120 volt AC receptical the red light laser was noted as ON, but there was no cut line visabal even though I was in a dark area. Could not note any damage to the laser light mount or any other part of the saw. Have looked all over the Internet as to an answer for the problem with the laser light and have hit a blank wall. If you could give me some advise on this mater so I could rate it five stars. The LASER LIGHT was one of your most outstanding noted advertising items of the MITER SAW. 4 STARS IS ALL I CAN GIVE FOR THIS REASON.
