I have the sander on several occasions and have not had any problems with it.

It works well

The sander is more than adequate for light jobs. The vacuum attachment and dust bag work well. The pressure indicator on the sander, at least with an 80 grit belt, shows too much pressure with anything more than the weight of the sander, making it less useful. The small size of the sander causes more scaring on the wood than previous larger sanders. Given the cost, and the fact that it is only for occasional use still makes it a useful tool for light and occasional work for a belt sander.

Is powerful and easy to use. The belt stays straight and is easy to change. I haven’t used the filter yet (was outside on the deck and didn’t want to clog it up)

I have a desk that i purchsed in the 70’s; love it, but the finish gave up over the last 10 years.I’ve never refinished furniture; but took this on as a weekend project.Using 100 grit to remove the finish; then using 240 grit to finish the wood, then 300 grit for a final hand sanding, I was ready to stain and urethane.Desk looks better than new; even found the drawer pulls were solid brass; so buffed those with my electric drill and jewelers rouge. – wow !I’d never used a power sander; but this made the prep work so very easy. Prepared the desk for staining in an afternoon and the seven drawers also in half a day.Easy to use; easy to change belts; filter catches most of the dust.Variable speed and LED pressure indicator to assist in careful processing of your job.

Works perfectly, and the pressure indicator ensures you don’t overdo it. The filter works fine, and I have also connected it to my smaller wet/dry vac with the smaller hose and it works great. Excellent value and seems sturdy.

I bought this as a replacement for an older model that quit working. It does a good job and I am very pleased with it.

Trusted brand, reliable sander from skil. With advanced dust collection cup with filter, it is ahead of the game. I bout this after my old vintage skil sander finally broke after 20 years of use. Lightweight and easy to use. The belts are also easy to replace.

This product worked well for 25 hours or so sanding a hardwood floor but then it just quit. It gets very hot so much so the dust collector is too hot to hold with your bare hand. The dust collector did not work very well and sometimes it did not work at all. It seems powerful enough for various jobs but it does not get close to the walls if you need to sand at a 90 degree angle to the wall. My sandpaper wore on the edges but not in the middle. Sandpaper is easy to change.

Sander performs as expected. I also have an older model that still works perfectly after 25 years.Hoping this new one will be of equal quality.

Bought this Sander for some home projects that needed doing. This is one very STOUT tool! It performs well & the added Pressure Control is nothing short of Awesome! The Sander came with a nice filter which was easily cleaned after the sanding was done. Another plus is that it isn’t heavy or cumbersome to use. I would suggest to always wear Eye Protection as well as Hearing protection. The tool kept me from gouging my work & removed quite a bit of material with the 80 grit belt. The 120 & 240 grits really smoothed it out nicely. I did purchase a belt Cleaning Stick & it maintained the belt very well. I would suggest buying one too!

A very good sander. Still not sure of what the pressure lights mean and the lock on button is tricky to use. But it does what I want in a sander.
