This a very good medium duty tool. I purchased it to help me rebuild a storm damaged patio deck. The 9 amp motor made short work out of cutting aluminum support pieces and bolts that would have taken me hours to cut with a hack saw. It easily cuts 4 X 4 wooden posts. I have also been using the saw to cut out tree roots that were getting close to the foundation.The blade lock mechanism is easy and quick to use when changing blades.For someone that has plenty of honey dos around the house or remodeling, this tool will do the job.

Bought this saw three years ago for use around my home. I have had this saw buried in the dirt cutting out stumps, have used it for yearly pruning of trees, and have used it to cut an abundance of PVC and metal pipe. I’ve even used it to cut down a small pine tree with a 10 inch diameter at the base. I like that it has a variable speed dial and an easy blade change lever. The shoe is also adjustable with an Allen wrench. I do appreciate that they added a spot on the cord to put it. This is a great saw for the homeowner!

I’ve had this saw for 3 months now and I haven’t had any major problems other than the trigger shorting out but it was a quick 20$ fix. I use mine to cut concrete with a friction blade, I run it top speed for 5-6 hours a day. Make sure not to use regular extension cords with this model, mine works better with just the green extension cord from our Christmas tree. I dropped it off my dock into the lake, it was under water for 3 days, finally got it out and it worked fine, actually a little better. My mechanic said since it was under water for so long it probably got the motor wet and lubed the motor. So it worked out in my favor. Don’t one of these, get two and soak them in a warm bath. For me. Please.

Compared to my previous reciprocating saw, this saw seems more adapted to fast rough cutting. Would recommend it for that purpose. Would not recommend it for finer, more controlled cutting.
