Nice drill. Comparatively light in weight. Powerful. Like the time it takes to recharge the battery. BUT I don’t like the keyless chuck. I’ve followed the instructions TO THE LETTER,but the chuck drops drill bits frequently. I really am annoyed at that part of it.

This drill & battery provides lots of drilling power in a light weight package. The battery quickly charges from 1 bar on the power indicator to full charge in approximately 30 minutes. I drilled 18 holes thru 1 1/2″ pressure treated pine, using a 1 1/8″ spade bit, in less than 3 minutes. The battery still showed 3 out of 4 bars worth of power left. What I think made this drill stand out from others was the inclusion of a USB port on the battery. This makes a great emergency cell phone charger. Why has no one thought of this before?

I received my Skil PWRCore 20-volt Brushless cordless 1/2-inch Drill Driver kit today; This drill is impressive with all the features it comes with, such as a fan-cooled charger, two-speed gearbox, seventeen torque settings, fast battery charge. And its brushless motor means it will have longer battery life.I like that the battery has a USB port to charge your phone or whatever else you need to recharge.Overall, this is a reasonably priced full-featured drill with all the power you should need for most applications.

I have had a porter-cable drill and this drill blew it out of the water. The LED light is handy the charging port for the phone is a great feature and comes in handy more that I thought it would. Skil has really out-done itself with this model drill-driver set! First the drill itself, it weight only 2.3 lbs without the battery with the battery it weighs only 3.5lbs….very light! It has a 17 position clutch and key-less, 1/2 inch bit capacity. Speeds from 0-480 RPM for driving and 0-1800 for drilling.The 2.0 AH battery only weighs 1.2 lbs. and has some extra features A battery level indicator light to keep me aware of how much power is left. It has a protective cover that comes with it, hold on to that as it will protect the battery contacts when the battery is removed and in a tool bag or box. Push the release button to remove the cover and also to remove the battery when it is locked into place on the tool. 20 volts of power to spare with this battery..Now here is something unique the battery has a USB outlet so that you can use it to charge your phone or other devices too! I like that feature a lot! Use the protective battery contact cover when using the battery off the tool to charge your device.The battery charger has an indicator light and also has pictures of what the indicator light status means in clear view. It will also tell you when a battery is either too hot or too cold with a RED light. The charger is very light and has a built in, quiet fan to keep it cool..Just an all around great set, great tool and at a great price from The Home Depot.

I just ordered this skill drill For my son-in-law. He almost didn’t get it, But my wife made me give it to on. I was really impressed with the features on this drill. The quick charging charger. The battery with the USB plug in the back so I can charge my phone. A battery life indicator on the front. This drew fits great in my hand not too big not too small or too heavy. Take a look at the pictures what came in the Box and some of the cool features in has. Don’t forget when you pull the trigger there is a light that lights up your work area. That’s a very big deal when you’re working in a enclosed area.

I’ve been using this PWRCore Drill Driver with the PWRJump battery / charger for about a month now. To sum up my overall experience, I am extremely happy with this drill / charger / battery – the whole package. I will preface that I am a DIYer and Woodworker and I build all types of projects on a regular basis, and burn through tools quick. To start with the drill itself, at this price point the build quality, weight, and overall ‘feel’ of the drill are all top notch in my opinion. I will also note that the belt clip is far superior to my previous cordless drill (a Ridgid). It sticks out a bit further and is much more substantial in feel – easily hooks onto my belt which is a MUST. The textured finish on the chuck is also fantastic – easy to grip. As far as functionality, the variable speed is awesome and it doesn’t start off in a ‘blast’ on high speed setting like other drills I’ve owned. Clocking it down to slow setting also is a nice change. You can easily adjust torque, or set to drill like all other cordless drills I’ve used – smooth transitioning and easy. The LED light is specifically great because of the brightness and the angle it shines the light. It is pointed directly at the point of the drill basically, and compared to other drills again this stands out. Power was top notch and THE BATTERY LIFE IS AMAZING! This is the first battery I was able to use a USB port on to charge up another device, and that was So Great! I record a ton of video for social media in my shop, so being able to plug my phone into this battery was a perk I didn’t even know I needed! The Charging Station rapidly charges up the battery, once I was finally able to run it down, and it works as advertised. CONS: – The only real con I could come up with is that there doesn’t seem to be a place to store a second bit. On my previous drill, there was a spot on the rear side to store a backup or secondary bit, and that was something I’ve become used to having. I use a lot of star bit and Phillips head for various types of projects, so it’s nice to quick swap that out. All in all, this Drill Driver Kit is a tremendous value and if you need a fresh start to your cordless line-up, or you are purchasing for the first time do not sleep on this drill. Pick this thing up and get back to work!

Today was the first time using this drill. I found the drill to work well. It was strong and had the torque needed to drill through 2×4’s with ease. I really put this tool to the test and it didn’t let me know. The battery life was surprisingly long lasting. I found the tool to be a little heavy. I’ve always wished for lighter tools just not sure manufactures can find the balance between power and weight. Great tool

I’m a 65 year-old grandma having problems with arthritis, plus my upper body strength is non-existent. I got this power drill with a cleaning brush set so I could clean my bathtub (the cleaning brushes has an extending “wand) and oven, etc. to my satisfaction without killing myself. This drill powers up those brushes and scouring pads and leaves everything like-new clean! Never thought a power drill would occupy a place of importance with my cleaning supplies, but my little SKIL drill is now a must-have. I love it!
