The hammer drill has the 3 functions of hammer drill, drill and screwdriver all in one convenient tool. enabling me to go from a drill bit for drilling a hole in sheet rock for a wall anchor then switching the bit out to drive in a screw. No more using 2 tools! Its lighter than my other hammer drill and comes with the battery and charger, the battery charging in 30 minutes. The battery has its own protective covering which is a very nice addition. The charger is larger than id expected and is plastic – i wish the tool itself had more of a rubber feel to it instead of being so smooth and included a bag but at this price point its good . Id give it a 5 star rating

Plenty powerfull with 450 in LBs of torque and impact rate of 27k bpm. While its still lighter than my older drill , its around 3 and half pounds and much easier to handle. The drill has 2 speed options plus the trigger has a bit of speed control in it also which helps with starting . The led light is bright and convenient in dark spaces and goes on/off by itself. There is a 5 year warranty, its a brush less motor so I’m guessin it will last a good long time for them to offer that kind of warranty, I was surprised to see even batteries and the charger has 2 year warranty. The battery has a quick charge so in 5 minutes its ready to go again, I have not been able to drain the battery with normal household use. I found it has the genius addition to the battery of a USB connector that can be used to charge phones or tablets.

I have used this for 2 weeks I it has been excellent. The Skil is a hammer drill that’s pretty well constructed, has more than enough power for homeowner use. It comes with a battery and charger. Used it for building a screen door and as well as making my own fence stretcher and holes to diy my on T-bar. It was handy and versatile. LED was great and battery seems to last a long time. I am going to put up a cider block retaining wall this summer and this should more then handle any anchors I may need to put in

3 tools in 1. Impact, drill, and hammer drill. There is plenty of power for any job. The drill fits very nicely in my hand. I like the 5 minute charger. Initially I thought it was a standard type charger so I was pleasantly. surprised. I usually have 2 batteries for my cordless tools but with this quick charger, I do not think I will buy an additional battery. The light on the base lights up things nicely in dim light. I also like the USB charger in the battery. Not sure if I will use that feature but it is unique and I am sure it will serve a valuable need for someone. I have 3 cordless SKIL tools and love them all. I have no doubt this will become a favorite as well.

First things first. The charger has a fan in it and makes a loud distracting noise. Next there is no where on the hammer drill itself to store the included drill bit which makes it easier to lose. And finally, the 20v battery allows you charge other devices but I wish there was a usb type c charger cable included. Now on to all the amazing things about this hammer drill. You’re getting a lot of power with a 20v battery, and not to mention you can charge other devices with the battery when you’re done working in the shop. The motor is brushless so it will withstand the test of time. With the charging station you can quick charge in 5 minutes so you will always have power. There are audible clicks when locking bits into place. With 17 torque settings and the ability to set the tool to drill mode, driver mode, and hammer drill; you’re all set. And the light on the drill is perfect for dim surroundings. The packaging is also super nice.

This is my second Skil power tool and I love it. A 20 Volt battery and charger is included for long term use. The battery powers up quickly. This is a brushless motor which means extended tool life and constant power. It is a cordless 1/2″ hammer drill. You can go from a drill, hammer drill and driver with the multi function switch. There are also 17 torque settings for drill driving. This drill comes with a five year warranty. Nice addition to my tool box.

First impression when opening the box was that it doesn’t look like what I remember SKIL being. It looks like a more expensive tool.I charged the battery, which charged fairly quickly… Took it outside and ran some 4″ screws through 2x3s for a garden fence. The drill is plenty strong. Has 2 speeds and a good clutch that seems to work well. I haven’t had a chance to use the hammer part of this drill, but the regular drill function works great.Overall, this drill seems like it’s well built. We’ll see about the longevity, but for now I’d say for the money, it’s a pretty good buy.

I used this SKIL Brushless 20V hammer drill to hang shelves on a brick wall. It worked very good. Using a 1/4” hammer drill bit, it had no problems. Drilled fast and was very smooth. I love the light as it shines on the area being drilled. It has plenty of power. Battery charges quick. I was able to charge my Bluetooth speaker with the battery. Great feature. I wanted to see how big of holes it would drill. I used a 1/2” hammer drill bit. It drilled it pretty quick in the grout lines. Used the same bit on the floor to lag down a wall. It drilled it but was much slower. I would recommend only using for smaller holes. I like how it has hammer drill mode and a regular drill driver mode. Definitely versatile.

I received my Skil PWRCore 20-volt Brushless cordless 1/2-inch hammer drill today; it comes with a 2.0Ah Lithium battery that includes a USB port to mobile charge your phone or whatever else you want to charge. This Skil drill has three modes, hammer drill, regular drill, and screwdriver mode. The drill also has a two-speed gearbox to meet any drilling application. I like that the drill comes with over 17 different torque settings, and with the high-speed /low-speed settings, there is not much you can’t do with this drill.I have used the hammer drill to hang a flagpole bracket in a red brick wall, and it worked great. I also like that when using cobalt bits, you can easily set the correct speed.Overall, this is a reasonably priced full feature cordless drill with more than enough power to complete most jobs.

Have used this tool for the last couple of days anchoring shelves to the wall in my basement. The LED made the job a lot easier as I was reaching between the shelves to drive the Anchor screws. Lots of power to drill my pilot holes into the mortar. The battery held it’s charge for a long time. It’s amazing how quickly it recharges.

The Skill Brand, PWRCore 20-Volt Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Hammer Drill Kit Plus 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery (USB) Plus PWRJump Charger is a strong performer in my opinion. I have mainly used my PWRCore drill with my drill bits, yet I did try its capability installing fasteners and its hammer function with a carbide masonry bit. First off, the chuck runs straight and true, absolute no discernable wobble even with the smallest drill bit. The variable speed trigger has excellent range and control and the two-speed transmission delivers outstanding torque for large bits requiring lower RPM and excellent high RPM for small drill bits or tools that work best at high RPM. Battery life is impressive. And the built-in battery gauge takes the guesswork out of knowing when to recharge since I prefer not to use Lithium batteries until dead for the longest battery service life. I was impressed with the torque delivered by the over running clutch when driving fasteners, so much so I had to see if it could remove a lug nut, which of course it did not. For me, the hammer function was just OK. It seemed to lack the sharp impact needed to drill through concrete and the rock aggregates in concrete. I did easily drill through Terrazzo tile and for medium to soft masonry the Skill PWRCore drill is very adequate. The battery charger incorporates a cooling fan and seemed to recharge the battery fairly rapidly, shutting off when the battery is fully charged. No tool bag is included with the Skill PWRCore drill and charger which is always an appreciated accessory for a homeowner or DIY person keeping their tools protected and together when needed.

I have 3 corded drills that have always handled all of my drilling needs, but thought it was time for the convenience of a cordless. My requirements were that it had to handle 1/2″ bits and be able to drill, hammer drill, and have the power to drive screws and bolts. This Skil PWRCore easily fulfills those requirements. As a power test, I ran some 2″ screws into some scrap lumber without drilling pilot holes. Since the Skil has 17 different torque settings for driving screws, it made easy work of that task. Next, I drilled 5 small pilot holes in some scrap lumber. I wanted to see if the Skil would drive 1/4″ lag bolts. Even set at the highest torque number, turning the bolts required more power than the ‘screw’ setting could handle, but once I switched over to the ‘drill’ setting, the lag bolts went in with seemingly no effort on the drill’s part. I have installed plenty of lag bolts in wood with a wrench, so when the Skil ran them in with ease, I knew there was more than enough power for any projects that come my way, and the 5 year warranty tells me Skil has faith in their products.
