I know this Skil Powercore 20-volt lithium-ion cordless 1/4 inch hex impact driver kit is a dood product because I am familiar with the Skil name. This item is light weight so my hand/arm won’t get tired using this. Since it is battery operated, that makes it portable and cordless; a great feature. This also makes it easy to turn screws or to hammer a nail. Lots of time & energy saving.

Skil is known for it’s high quality made tools. The unit with battery attached weighs 2lb. 13oz. It is built to withstand heavy use and accidental drops. Both the head and base of the motor, are encased with a composite fiber material for protection. The handle fits th hand nicely and is padded. At the base of the handle, is a light. I know, you will say, most drills have this. But this one actually does light up what you want.I have other drills, all top names in tools, and they arent as effective as this one. Very outstanding… Another added feature on this drill is the lock position of the forward and reverse selector switch. This position prevents the drill from activating. You might find as I have a long time ago, that when you put the drill in a box on the tuck or wherever, that if the drill is triggered, when putting something on top of it, it will run the battery down. I tested this drill by putting 2 1/2″ and 3″ screws into a 4×4– no problem. Also I tested putting 2 1/2″ furniture screws into shelving material… Good results. The quality of the variable speed switch is very good. The engagement from start to higher speed were smooth.I would recommend this drill for on the job or DIYers.

Learned something new with this drill. It’s 20 volts which means for everyday projects I need to be careful as it has power that is not needed. If I go to far into a wall with a screw, the drill can easily strip the head. This is not an issue, one should just be mindful. This is a small drill! Someone with small hands will find this drill easy to use. Fairly light as well. I have dealt with lights on drills and other equipment as well and they were for the most part useless. Not so with this drill! The light is spot on and extremely helpful! Bright as well. Each part is easy to use, battery pack slips off and on easily. Battery pack with drill sits on charging station just as easily. Each part has a good size and weight. It charges quickly and holds a charge long enough to get a project done. (I duct taped it to run in another room continuously, it lasted 1 hour, 16 minutes).Good instructions and warranty.

Like all Skill power tools, this 20 volt impact driver is a high quality tool. This comes complete with a 2ah lithium rechargeable battery, battery charger, and a number 2 Phillips head bit. This is a variable speed impact driver 0-2500 rpm, you simply pull the trigger till the speed matches the need. Simple slide switch to control forward/reverse. There is also an led that illuminates the drive area. This is a light weight tool, but it has excellent torque that will handle any task you have. Another excellent feature is the forward/reverse led arrow lights on top of the driver. Excellent quality, well built and I highly recommend this unit.

I use impact drivers on a daily basis. This 3/8 driver is extremely light weight compared some competitors. In most of my applications a 3/8 is fine for the job. There is plenty of power. The tool has a quick release so interchanging bits is fast. I do like the neon light as there are times it really comes in handy for me when I am changing out light ballasts in almost the dark because the power is off. Overall the tool is very comfortable for my hand and maneuvering around with it is easy. This is an excellent tool.

I love SKIL tools and this is another gem to add to my collection. I bought this because I was rebuilding the entire front end in my truck and this impact helped me make quick work of it. Excellent battery life and the rugged housing held up very well. I plan on buying more of the tools in the 20v series soon!

Skil 20-volt Cordless 1/4in Hex Impact DriverI’m really happy with this 1/4” impact driver. I’ve used it already twice in the week I’ve had it. I used it to put up a bracket on the side of my house, and driving screws into wood, it barely felt like work! I gave it a real workout driving screws into cement board for a bathroom remodel. It had plenty of power to sink the screws into the 1/2 inch cement board on the wall of my bathroom. This would have been impossible with a regular screw driver. This impact driver made a difficult job much easier. The battery has indicator lights to show the remaining charge. The LED light that comes on when you pull the trigger is helpful to light the spot where you are working. There are LED error indicators on the top of the driver that indicate the direction (in or out). The battery charger has a decent length cord. I’m very pleased with this cordless Skil 1/4” impact driver

I just ordered this Skil PWRCORD 20 volt impact driver kit. And was i impressed. Some features made me say, WOW . Let’s start by say 20 volt lithium battery. Has the power i was hope for. And this battery has a usb port in back. I was able to charge my newer cellphone (2 amp). And it work great. Haa haa i am.just talking about the battery. Now the impact driver. It’s a fits in my hand good . A big plus when you have a lot of screws to install. On top of the driver there is a arrow to show you what direction the tool is in. And a very big plus from me there is a belt clip. You can add. When you on a ladder. Your tool is on your side. . And every time you pull the trigger. A light comes on, lighting up your driver bit.and i got both impact and the drill.

I received my Skil PWRCORE 20 volt 1/4inch hex impact driver today; it has a lot of features not found on most other impact drivers at this price range. It comes with one 2.0 Ah lithium battery that charges up quickly and has an LED battery gauge on it.I like that the LED light is located at the bottom of the handle because it shines where you need it. Its torque is rated at 1,100-inch pounds, which is plenty of power to drive screws. This driver has a LED indicator on top of the driver’s body that shows if it is in forward or reverse. I also like the variable speed control that makes it easy to start screws. Overall, this is a reasonably priced impact driver that is loaded with features.
