Skil PWR Core 20-Volt Brushless Cordless 1/4 in. Hex Impact Driver Kit Plus 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery (USB) & PWRJump Charger has changed my mind about cordless tools. I put this tool through its paces. I drilled pocket holes, I did some doweling and I was able to utilize a 6” inch whole saw for a vent in house siding. The torque is great. It saved me time when repairing a lawn mower with the right attachments. I guess the best benefit is the lack of dragging a cord up and down ladders and looking for an outlet to plug in. I’m pretty much an old school crafter and always relied on corded tools. The battery time was exceptional but I will get a second battery just to keep my comfort level up. The Battery has USB charging capability I have not utilized this feature but I’m sure it will come in handy when the regular charger is not available. I would recommend this driver for the diehard fan of corded tools.

Love the POWER MODE adjuster!! This is a powerful driver/hammer drill. I have used it for everything from hanging a picture to changing a tire. The drill has more than enough power to loosen and tighten the Lung nuts on my truck. Even used it last weekend on a travel trailer To lower the stabilizer jacks. It is very light weight and with the light feature, easy to use at night. Excellent value for the price!!

Wow! Skil has definitely upped their handles power tool game with this new 20volt impact! I have been a dedicated Ridgid tool guy for years, but this impact comes with a ton of cool features and the power to tackle any job. Combined with a brushless motor means you can’t go wrong! Great weight and feel in your hand. Love the 5 min charger and the additional USB charger on the battery itself! Highly recommend!

Skil has produced a nice tool at a great price. This brushless 1/4 inch Hex drive Impact Driver has lots of features. Here is what I liked about it.It has a small grip handle that is easy to grip with smaller hands. This is great for kids learning trades and even women who want to fix or make thing themselves.The driver has a Hi/Lo speed setting to help prevent over tightening or stripping screws, and an Auto setting that adjusts the speed as it tightens (See Photo). It has a variable speed trigger, and an easy to use forward/lock/reverse switch.The brushless motor provided higher torque than brush style motors for powering out rusted bolts.The Maximum Speeds are 2700 RPM in Hi, and 1700 RPM in Lo speed. The impact provides 3400 Blows per Minute (BPM). And it has 1800 inch pounds of Torque.The 2.0Ah 20 Volt Lithium Battery slides on and off the tool and the charger easily. It has a 4 segment LED indicator (See Photo) showing the battery current charge level. The PWRJump™ charger has a fan that runs while charging which makes a little bit of noise. It can charge the battery up in 5 minutes with enough power to drive up to 100 screws, or fully charge the battery to 100% in 30-minutes. The charger has rubber feet which prevents it from sliding around when inserting the battery for charging.The 2.0Ah 20 Volt Battery has a USB port built right into it (See Photo). You can use the battery alone and take it along on hiking or camping trips, or to the beach or park, to run or charge your cell phone or tablet. This is a great feature! It even comes with a battery cover (See Photo) to protect the battery’s electrical connections when it is not installed on the charger or tool.I didn’t like that the LED light was located so low on the handle (See Photo). It shines well below the work area, and it shines up towards the bit casting an odd shadow (See Photo).The chuck had a fair amount of slop in it allowing the bit to move in and out almost 1/8 of an inch. The chuck had a nice knurl on it making bit removal easy.There is no carrying case, but it comes with the following in the box: Impact Driver; 2.0Ah Battery with USB port; Auto PWRJump™ Charger; PH#2 bit, and a Belt Clip.It has a 5 Year warranty.

I’ve tried this impact out in number of situations: Drywall screws through drywall and cement board, 4″ tapcons in treated lumber into my foundation, and even used it to pull a wheel off of a car. Things I really liked: – Control Mode (this was amazing) – It’s not horribly heavy, and I love the belt hook – Charging was just shy of 45 minutes, which was awesome. – The light stays on for a couple of seconds after you release the trigger. It did struggle a quite a bit running a coarse thread screw through solid Oak, but after some fiddling with speed and modes it did get it done. I will say, when running a 4″ TapCon into a treated 2×10 into the foundation of my house it the control mode was THE BEST. No struggling at all. I broke the PH2 impact bit after about 14 screws though…But hey, that’s the name of the game when using impact drivers. I haven’t yet been able to shear a screw head off, but I’ll update when that happens!

I am really thrilled to not only review but own this drill kit. I do a lot of my own projects that require using a screwdriver. Now that I have this Battery operated drill I can get many of my projects done. This makes it much more easier as well as being able to securely tighten the screws. I very much like the Battery having a cover over it that slides of with ease. I am very much enjoying this handy tool.

You will not be disappointed in this 1/4″ hex impact driver kit. The driver is heavy and well made – variable speed, with LED light, and an illuminated Hi-Lo mode switch to control the force of the impact. It also has a removeable belt clip. The charger indicates whether the battery is charging, fully charged, defective, or high/low temperature. The 20 volt lithium battery comes with a protective cover to keep debris out when not in use. It also has an auxiliary USB port that is activated by the on/off button, and a battery indicator button that lets you know how much power is left.

I used this Brushless 20V Impact driver for building a horse Shelter. I used a non impact driver for a few screws and this for the rest. It worked wonders. Only charged the battery once for well over 100 2 1/2” screws. It has 3 modes but the best is the adaptive mode. Took me a minute to figure out what that mode does but from what I found, it is awesome when removing a screw that has been stripped. The battery charges quick. The light is great. I really like how durable the drill feels. The belt clip is strong and works flawlessly. Very easy to change out drill bits. I would highly recommend this SKIL 20V Impact Driver.

I have never owned an impact driver before. If it got tough to drive in screws, I had to break out my plug in power drill. I was putting up replacement shutters and when I ran into trouble I broke out the impact driver and it worked great. I then used it for the remaining 7 shutters after the first issue and not one problem. Has the LED light which is nice and belt clip if needed along with the USB charging port. Plenty of torque and power for when I use it around the house. I wish I had this impact driver before. It would have made my life easier
