Easy to use and easy to see even at a distance. The projected registration marks are very helpful. Like all self leveling laser levels users need to treat it with care, but this is more rugged than others in this price class. Dampening on the free self leveling mode would be a great addition, but this tool has great value.

I am impressed with how the Skil Self-Leveling Green Laser works. It has a built-in 3.7 volt lithium battery that is charged through an included micro USB cable (the 120 VAC power supply is not included). It has an operating time of 6 hours according to the booklet. It also comes with a soft carrying case and an adjustable universal clamp. The laser had a ¼” threaded hole on both the top and the bottom to give different mounting options. It will also mount on a camera tripod or similar device if one is available. The unit easily self levels when unlocked. It projects both a horizontal line as well as a vertical one, and has tick marks on both lines to assist on aligning up items such as pictures. It also has a manual leveling mode which allows a projected line at any angle. Accuracy is +/- 3/16” at 30’, and will operate up to 65 feet. For those wondering, this level is made in China.I am very satisfied with this laser level. It will be a real advantage in installing pictures, chair rails, cabinets and anything else needing to be leveled. I would definitely order again!

This is a sturdy self-leveling green cross line laser level. I like the super bright green horizontal and vertical lines. I checked the green horizontal laser line with a 4 foot level and the line is true. The laser level can be turned on by pressing the push button on top or sliding the slide switch on the side. The only way to turn off the laser level is by sliding the slide switch on the side which also locks the laser in place to keep it from moving. The red triangle LED on top lights up when the laser is on and the slide switch is in the locked position. The red triangle LED is also on when the laser level is tilted to far out of range and the level is no longer true. The green laser output also flashes when the laser level is tilted to far out of range and the level is no longer true. The round green LED on top flashes when it is charging. I tested the USB to mini USB charging cable and it is a good one.

Level was very useful while I installed new bathroom tiles. Easy to read and the lines were fairly fine. I found that they did get large (wide) at about 8 or 9 feet away from my wall which does reduce the accuracy somewhat. Had to use the clamp to mount it and found it was very jittery but got use to it and definitely helped keep all my lines perfect. This level was so much better than trying to use a conventional level. Definitely recommend adding it to your tool inventory.

The Skil description says it all for this well-built, compact laser level. It comes with it’s own case which holds the level and the USB charging cord. The case has a couple of straps that would allow you to attach it to something else including your belt. The mounting clip adds flexibility to attach it almost anywhere as I illustrated in the picture attaching it to a wooden chair. Yet the horizontal and vertical lines remained perfectly level.(I checked it to be sure!) If you need to mark other lines that aren’t level you can turn off the self-leveling feature. Overall, a great addition to a home tool collection or for the professional job site.

I bought this specifically to assist in hanging a number of curtain rods in my home. In one room I had to hang rods in three separate windows in close proximity to each other and needed them to be aligned with each other. Instead of multiple trips up and down a ladder to measure, mark and align each rod I used my Self Leveling Green Cross Line Laser. I used the laser clamp to clamp my laser to a long piece of wood. I attached the wood to an old camera tripod. I turned on the self leveling laser and using the crank on my tripod I extended my laser to put the bright green leveling lines exactly where I wanted to mount my rods. Quick and easy!h

I needed a new laser level and wanted a green one because everyone recommended it for seeing better in bright conditions. So far it seems easy to use. I just opened it up and turned it on and that was that. It only has one option which is to give both axis lines simultaneously with measuring marks at spaced intervals. It seems easy to use and see and is rechargeable, and comes with a pretty nifty attachment to clamp onto stuff. I’m going to mainly use this for trim, tile, and basic leveling, nothing complicated. It’s easy to use and see but the lines aren’t super crisp. This is a great general purpose laser.

This Skil self-leveling cross line laser with measuring marks is a useful tool when hanging photos, or attempting to keep items level and evenly spaced. The accompanying clamp arm has multiple swivel points to allow multiple mounting angles for the level. The green lines are bright, and visible up to 65′, though I found them quite dim at that distance. The level has two attachment points to the swivel arms and clamp. Overall, the tool is useful and nice to have. I have two main issues. It is supposed to arrive with a carrying case and charging cable. However, the level that arrived had neither piece enclosed. Without the charging cable, I was unable to use the level without using a different charging cable I had. I spoke with Skil customer service after registering the tool and made them aware of the missing pieces. They have shipped replacement pieces, though have I haven’t received them yet. I look forward to being able to store the tool and charge it fully once they arrive.

Works as promised! Bought another brand and was really disappointed, this Skil has been easy to use and have had no issues using it indoors. Plan to take it outside once the weather gets cooler.

Great tool. Most useful on a large wall when you try to align all hangers and others that will be bolted to wall. Not only leveling but distance between object can be also accomplished.
