Right out of the package, you can tell that this saw is heavy duty. It is substantially heavier than the other reciprocating saws that we use. With its “Buzzkill” technology, it cuts quickly and easily through thick plywood, lumber, metal and most other materials with very little vibration. It can also plunge cut through plywood if you turn the blade upside down. If you’re looking for a great, professional grade, heavy duty saw, that won’t beat you up, this is it. The downside is that if you’re doing a lot of overhead or vertical cutting, the weight may be a factor.

I have had the SKILSAW 13 Amp Reciprocating saw with Buzzkill Technology for a few weeks and have put it to the test. I cut through steel pipe, pvc, wood with nails, and tree limbs to which the saw went through very easily.I know….It is a saw so that is what it is supposed to do. Plus a good blade can make a difference as far as comparing to other saws so I’m not going to spend my time telling you it cuts. I will tell you it is powerful enough to cut through anything I tried it on.Let’s talk about the aspect of the saw claims to be better than the others. Vibration control. I tried every situation to make this saw vibrate. I cut aluminum pipe one-handed (as pictured) along with many other trials and was impressed. Nearly cut like I had two hands on it. I couldn’t think of a better way to show the difference than to show you in my video. I taped water bottles to my 12 AMP “other Brand” saw and this Skil Sawzall and cranked them to full throttle. You can see the difference in the water that is moved. I said “other brand” because I have no issues with the current saw I own but as far as vibration the SKIL does perform better. As far as vibration this is the best saw I have used. I couldn’t find much wrong with it. The only thing I did notice is that it does get warm and the grip near the blade when you run it for a long period of time. Warmer than my other saws but I’m talking 30 minutes use at a time with few stops. Most people don’t use this type of saw that long on a regular basis.Overall I’m pleased with this saw

I have only used a few times, but it seems well built and cuts through wood and metal with little effort, without vibrating your arms off. It’s only draw back is that it is a bit heavy when compared to similar saws. Very happy with the saw!

Maybe my expectations were too high. It took FOREVER to cut through an oak log.

I haven’t used it yet but I plugged it in and turned it on and it runs smoothly and sounds and feels like good quality.

The vibration technology is for real. This is a smooth operating saw. I use it to cut through pallets I repurpose. Powerful and easy to operate.

I m grateful to have tested this saw , over all a great product and after hours of continuous use by myself and others on the jobs sight we all liked it over the other saw we had, it is now the go to saw and the first one out of the truck. it has great power and very little vibration.
