The saw works good but I found that the retractable lower blade guard doesn’t retract easily. It catches sometimes which can be inconvenient. The instructions say that when you install the blade tighten the bolt finger tight then turn it an eighth of a turn more. I have had to re tighten the bolt on a few occasions

Thought about a cordless saw but I don’t use this enough to worry about a dead battery or having to keep another charger. I’ve been remodeling my garage finally and this saw has really come in handy. Way more than enough power for home use. Nice clean cuts on plywood and 2x4s with the included blade. It’s a little heavy but not bad. Can’t go wrong with a skillsaw.
