Nice saw. A bit heavy, but the bigger blade is nice for cutting through material.

This saw is smooth as silk, and has had no problem cutting into 6×6’s to make posts for my deck. Where all saws I’ve ever used struggle with knotty area, this one works through them with relative ease. It’s large so you need both hands to move it, but it doesn’t get jumpy or want to get off track like smaller saws. Bought it on sale about a year ago for $379, worth every penny.

This tool is of very good quality and very durable. The 10-1/4″ blade can easily cut through a 4″ x 6″. I have a Skill 7-1/4″ circular saw with similar design and been using it since 1977 without a problem.

This is a saw I have been wanting for years. The first time I used it I put it in my best buy, good tool catagory. I know it will perform for years down the road. Good feel, plenty of power, made well. Its only flaw is the weight, but for the quality that is made into this saw, I’m not gonna complain.

The saw is everything you expect from Skilsaw. I personally prefer the worm drive over a makita or milwaukee 10 1/4 saw, however I don’t understand why such a thin kerf blade was put on a 10 1/4 saw! The blade deflection (wobble) is incredible. This saw will be amazing once a new diamond arbor 10 1/4 blade is made. Until then this saw won’t be used for any precision cutting. Stick with a Makita or Mafell (different league) for making nice cuts on timberframe projects, this saw/blade combo is good for quick 6×6 and 4×4 cuts on decks and fences.

What an awesome saw!! I’ve been in construction all my life and using saw’s.I’m so impressed that I will be buying the 7 1/4″ saw to replace my other saw’s.I found the left side blade very easy to get accustomed to and not having to bend over the saw to see the blade, my back is very happy about that.

Got this to work on a 6” D log cabin (built butt-and-pass style). Ended up using it as the main saw on the build including cutting 6×6 pressure treated posts, lots of 2x, and 3/4” subfloor. Great versatile saw, if a little heavy/overkill for typical 2x cuts. Minimum blade depth is 3/4”.

Nice Saw! I used it to cut 4X12 materials. I used the handle on the left side and was able to use it to manipulate the guard to start cutting!

Worked better than I thought. Saves time.. And time is money in the construction life.

I used this saw all day yesterday and I was very impressed! It had plenty of power for a full 8 hr day of ripping down 2” thick white oak slabs and at the end of the day I really appreciated the ergonomics and comfort of the handle. I made a straight edge guide out of 3/4” ply to make life easier and it left the edge nice and smooth. If it can rip white oak slabs this easy I don’t see it having a problem with whatever you throw at this beast. Highly recommend! (Ig @zaxewoodworks if you want to see video footage of me using the saw)

love this saw. Cuts through 4×4 with one cut! Easy to handle. Only issue, can’t find a tool bag large enough for it.

I had to purchase a replacement saw for work. Had the Makita 10 1/4 sidewinder and this saw is leaps and bounds better than that saw for big PT lumber. Only downfall is it’s heavy but once the saw is tuned it eats a clean square line through anything I put it through. Wormdrive tourque wins

I do a ton of 4×4 and 6×6 cutting with this saw and it’s a great time saver vs a 7 1/4″ unit but what I’ve had issues with is the saw working itself into a slight bevel. Since I do quite a bit of notching for posts on 6×6 I always check the bevel vs a 12″ speed square when I’m rolling out and I’ve found that, after about a dozen posts I need to go back and bump the fence a few degrees to get it cutting square again. Yes I check it against a square, yes everything is tight, and yes I know how to run the saw properly 🙂 only other (and lesser) issue I have is if you’re working with cedar or something that is a true 4×4 you can’t make a cut with one pass. Just a fuzz short on those cuts. It would be nice if a 10 1/4 blade could pull that cut off in one pass.
