I got this as a birthday/X-mas gift from my parents and i have to say its an excellent saw. Very power. Only reason it didnt get a 5 star is its weight. To me its a bit heavy for the average dyi’er but i unserstand why the weight. 2 hand grip makes for steady cuts and hood control of the saw.

So far I’m very happy with it, but after watching a YouTube video where this guy does a complete teardown of the saw, he pointed out some serious deficiencies inside the housing that he thinks will affect the long term reliability of the saw, which I agree with. Been in carpentry for 45 years and have always used Skil worm drive 7 1/4″ saws. Getting older and just purchased the Magnesium 7 1/4″ worm drive saw due to its lighter weight. The weight difference was significant enough for me, plus power of the worm drive saws is always impressive. My older saw still works great and i have put a diamond blade in it and use it for ant concrete or cement block cutting. For around a $200 cost it is well worth the price!!
