For the listed price it is more affordable than other brands. The quality and sturdiness of this item is top end and so far I’m very impressed and definitely recommend for anyone in the trade

I just received the Southwire wire stripper tool (Southwire part # S1018SOL), and have used it to strip some solid copper conductors (#12 romex), and found the tool worked well for stripping and cutting the wire. The tool package states the tool will cut & strip #10-18 AWG solid wire, and #12-20 AWG stranded wire, but I have not used to tool for other wire sizes (stranded or solid) yet. But I am confident the tool would work well for the other sizes of stranded and solid wire. Additionally, the curved, plastic covered handles fit comfortably in my hand, and allowed for easy wire stripping and cutting. This is a quality tool!

Seems like a good quality tool. Spring is very strong and keeps them spread wide. Seem built for a big hand. I believe they would not fit smaller hands well. I like the stainless steel and that they are made in America

I got these strippers the other day when I lost my Milwaukee ones. I bought them for a quick fix but I think they will be staying in the bag. Really impressed with how sharp they stay.

Been using this for awhile, the curve of the handel alone with the coating made the tool slip in my hand quite often, so I wrapped the handel in elect tape.

I received this 2 weeks ago and used it to repair my ovens wiring. Very useful when cutting and stripping small wires. Great tool and looking forward to using it on my next wiring project

The ergonomic handles make it easier to fit in my hand. The stainless steel stays sharp a long time and use only on copper wiring. Had a smaller version that I kept loosing in my pouch but this larger size make it easy to find without actually looking for it. This one has my name on it and everyone knows not to touch it.

I have to admit that I was skeptical about this pair of wire strippers having used many other brands in the past, but I am highly impressed. The stainless steel is a welcome change from others I have tried, which will help keep the rust away. The lock is also a welcome feature to keep the profile a little more compact. It cuts insulation well, although I have not yet had occasion to use the screw cutter. My only issue with it is how far apart the handles travel. Even with my large hands, after using it for extended periods, stripping many wires in one sitting, I have a feeling that my hands will be very tired. Overall, though, it seems to be a very solid tool.

It feels good to know my strippers wont rust when they get wet since i work outside exposed to the elements.

I’ve had these for about a month and so far they have done me well. They have very nice grips to them and a very sturdy feel. I have had no problems with them and hopefully I never will. The only thing I have a slight negative towards is that they feel a bit tight to squeeze but that can be easily fixed so it isn’t a big deal for me

Great tool, very easy to use. I only have to carry this tool due to the range of wire size it can be used with

Is just like the one that I was using but it is just a little bit longer then my old set. At first I thought it was a little to large for my hand but after holding my old set the open the same amount, so with use it will feel like my old set! One problem I have with my old set is that one of the handles slides down. Have only used this tool a couple of days so we will see how the grips hold up over time.

My first hand experience with these strippers is that the curved handle design fits perfectly in your palm of your hand and gives you full control when stripping and shearing thread bolts to length . The stainless steel cutter blade is much smoother cut over the steel material make up . Plus it will cut down on rust . Which slow downs the spring mechanism with each cut and shortens the tool life .
