They work fine, I will use them from time to time.

The extra insulation on the handles make it very comfortable to use, the pliers grip on the end of the tool is a nice feature making this a multi use tool, and the stainless steel finish makes it easier to read the numbers on it.

The tool is made of very durable materials. Wire strippers are stainless steel, the double deep handles allow for a firm and comfortable grip. The tool has a spring loaded self-opening action mechanism with a lockable feature.

I got these wire strippers hoping to find some that worked like they should, I have couldn’t be more pleased. Others I have used were to big and bulky or flimsy feeling.

These came at just the right time. People of a certain age will understand what I did for a quick repair job. The cat chewed through one of my speaker cables so tucked away in the junk cupboard was a piece of old phone extension cord. These wire strippers cut the end off with very little effort. Then I stripped the outer covering off without cutting the inner wires. Now I have a new cable for the speaker so I can hear the TV until I get a real cable as this is a temporary fix..

This is a pair of well made heavy wire stripping pliers. The handles are spring loaded for ease of operation. The soft covering on the handles make them very comfortable to use in tight locations. The cutter blade is sharp and has a good tight tolerance so that three wires and a ground cut easily and neatly. The strippers blades are the right size to neatly cut the insulation off the wire without nicking the copper.

Okay, everything about these strippers says quality. The have heft, are machined beautifully of stainless steel, has beautiful laser etching, the handle is nice and beefy with thick cushioning… BUT THEY NICK THE WIRE. I compared these to my cheap 5 dollar generic strippers and they look like obvious winners. But I stripped 10 gauge solid wire and they nicked it. I stripped 12 gauge solid wire wire and they nicked it. I stripped 14 gauge and yes – they nicked it. My cheaper strippers that are made more cheaply didn’t. I stripped a piece of speaker wire and one strand was cut off, so I think the machining isn’t quite correct were the two halves of the stripper meet. Also, the laser etching on the pliers seems like a great idea and says ‘quality’ but honestly it’s harder to read, and might be impossible to read in a low light situation. I wanted to love these but just felt let down.

Having received the S1018STR Compact wire stripper, a week ago, i put it thru its paces stripping 18 thru 10 gauge wire and was quite surprised that that the stripper never nicked stranded wire that most have done in the past. The item is well thought out, engineered, and made with superior materials, to be a nearly maintenance free [stainless] tool. The teeth at the end is a nice addition, the return spring is robust, and the lock works without undue effort, and the handles are quite comfortable to use for a full days work. My thought that the grip might be slightly longer, but in keeping with the compact scheme, this item is a must have. Vic

I got the strippers a bit ago and finally had a chance to use them. Did an excellent job of stripping the wire but not cutting through. I would recommend these to family and friends.

This tool is a tough little addition to my tool belt. It is small enough to fit in your pocket without being bulky. It fits in your hand nicely and is strong enough to tackle all the wire sizes.

This compact wire stripper is a nice looking tool and the yellow makes it easy to find in my toolbox. The cutters worked well though you still have to rotate the cutters or squeeze and rotate so the wire insulation cuts all the way through. One thing a bit confusing is the markings on either side of the gauge slots. When you first look at them the number doesn’t match across from it and until you see the note at bottom of cutters saying this side solid wire and other side stranded wire it is a bit confusing. The whole wire cutter at base of the tool works very good cutting pieces of wire off with minimal effort.

Gave to a technician to use on a metering application and the results were good. Nice clean stripping.

I’ve never owned a pair of strippers that lasted ao long and continued to function.

Received this as a sample tool and love them. The range of wire that it strips, plus it covers both solid and stranded makes carrying one tool possible.

I really like that the wire gauges are marked on both sides so you don’t need to flip it over if you are not sure which hole to use. These are very small and are a little hard to hold onto with big hands. The grips seem durable but are a little slick. Wondering if the “newness” will rub off over time. Looping holes are in a good place and easy to use.

Don’t know what else to say except that these are great. I use them for work at public utility. I use them on a daily basis it leaves a clean wire strip which works great with crimps. Also very easy on the hands. The only drawback is the 24 awg is sometimes hit and miss but this is not a deal breaker for me. Would highly recommend especially if you do a lot of wire stripping.
