very comfortable grip, very sharp cutters and strippers made of stainless, which is great for high corrosion environments

First of all I want say that like that extra seal around handle, gray color that is the under layer that will help keep that yellow rubber on because I have used in the past Klein stripper and it come off also I would like to add feature I love that the blade is curved and sharp not flat it makes for a smoother cut and easy on the hand and one last thing the spring that connect handle I like too because it long and has more turns on each side that will keep both handles working at point unfortunately the Klein spring is small and that spring is always popping out thank for making a good tool

Great pair of wire strippers! I’m not usually a fan of combination tools but I like that the wire stripper also has a cable cutter, well most do nowadays, but this is a bit more heavy duty than other strippers of this size able to cut coax cable with ease. It was very comfortable in the hand and very light in my tool belt. A winner!

Very nice set of small strippers. especially like the ends for crimping. Instead of flat area have crimps to really crunch fitting onto wire. The handles are double dipped to make larger and very comfortable. Good spring to keep open and lock does not slide into lock position if stripping with lock side up. I have had a set that did that, very annoying. Stainless steel so hopefully will not rust if get nicked.

Trying these because I have liked the other Southwire tools I have and because of the stainless steel construction. The idea of being rust proof was enough to sell me. I must say they are very comfortable to use also. Although I haven’t had them very long I look forward to using them for quite some time.

Just used these strippers to install pressure sensors on a remotely managed water system. Stripper portion performed perfectly – very sharp, cuts through insulation easily, and the openings seemed to be sized perfectly (you’d be surprised at those that are not…). The cutter feature worked far better than I had expected, excellent, in fact. And the handles are very comfortable, which make these great for long days of installs. I am VERY impressed.

They strip wire nice and I like the compact size. Makes them nice to fit in your pocket going up a ladder.

Okay, everything about these strippers says quality. The have heft, are machined beautifully of stainless steel, has beautiful laser etching, the handle is nice and beefy with thick cushioning… BUT THEY NICK THE WIRE. I compared these to my cheap 5 dollar generic strippers and they look like obvious winners. But I stripped 10 gauge solid wire and they nicked it. I stripped 12 gauge solid wire wire and they nicked it. I stripped 14 gauge and yes – they nicked it. My cheaper strippers that are made more cheaply didn’t. I stripped a piece of speaker wire and one strand was cut off, so I think the machining isn’t quite correct were the two halves of the stripper meet. Also, the laser etching on the pliers seems like a great idea and says ‘quality’ but honestly it’s harder to read, and might be impossible to read in a low light situation. I wanted to love these but just felt let down.

This pair of wire strippers performs right up there with any other name brands! The price point is a great value compared to the competition. The spring assist on the handles pushes this guy to the top when comparing price, features and performance!

i liked the product for most part. cuts great. also cuts many wires at a time (8). like the fact the spring will not fall out. like compact style. lock needs work, gets in way. they also could be better with 6-32 8-32 screw cutters

With so many types and manufacturers of hand tools for the electrical industry out there, I was reluctant to try another pair of wire strippers. But to my surprise, this wire stripper is the best that I have used so far in my 30+ years in the trade. It stripped the insulation off of the wire with precision. Others would have issues as far as “cleanly” removing the insulation. Great investment.

Like the positive spring back, positive wire stripping and cutting, I wish it had the screw cutters with thread. Also not a fan of the compact handle, I get the fact it is a compact stripper, but to small for my hands and will be more difficult to find in the pouch. If your intention for use is for the casual user ie homeowner then it will probably pass. I assume it is a cheaper product.

Wire strippers feel comfortable in my hand. Handle has a cushioned grip and the overall size is perfect…not too big or too small. The wire cutter feature is at the pivot point and is very sharp and easily cut my wire in two. The wire stripper feature is easy to read and easy to find the correct wire stripper size for the size of wire you need to strip. These strippers would be easy to use in tight spaces and I would recommend this tool.

This is a great stripper. It doesn’t have the features of a screw cutter and crimper but often times I prefer to have seperate tools for those specific tasks.

This Southwire electric wire stripper has very comfortable, insulated and spring-loaded, handles. It works on solid and twisted wires from 10 gauge to 18 gauge. I also have another Southgate stripper that covers wires from 16 gauge to 26 gauge. The jaws are very well designed and hold the stripped-off section securely, after making a very neat and clean cut through the insulation.

Very impressed with these wire strippers out of the package. Handles are very comfortable, strippers were sharp and tight. I tried them on various size wires that the strippers were designed to strip and cut with absolutely no problems.

This wire stripper works very well for cutting & stripping wire. However it is limited to just that, whereas I have used similar tools that also crimp and can shear machine screws. I like the compact size, though this sacrifices some leverage. And the handles could stand to have a little more cushion for comfort. Also would prefer American made rather than made in China.

Perfect size, strong spring they are much better than my old ideal strippers. Worth trying out
