Works I’ve had no problems with it. I would recommend

I have used a lot of wire strippers over the years, but none come close to what these strippers do. Granted, they cut, strip and loop wire like many other strippers do but the cut is very clean and tidy. Lightweight and easy to use. Great Product!

The build quality feels really good. The Metal is strong, the teeth are sharp, and the handle grips feel good. Typically the spring is the first thing to go in a set of wire strippers, and I don’t see this spring breaking or wearing out anytime soon.

Got these last week and have been using them for lighting jobs at work; every cut is clean and they don’t shred the wire. Have made a few hundred cuts with them already and they don’t seem to have dulled much, if at all.

First time using the Southwire compact wire stripper. I found the stripper fits nicely in my hand. I’ve had some small gauge strippers in the past and will now use these as my go to strippers when working smaller wire projects and hobbies. The stripper seems durable and the spring seems to be strong enough to last. Other small strippers I have had either didn’t have a spring or it was weak. Definately recommend these for small gauge wire.

These are the small strippers for HVAC wire. That’s really all they are good for.

I received this is the mail a little over two months ago and have used it almost daily. This does not fold up on itself when you are stripping wires.

I have a pair of a different brand and I made the mistake of cutting something other than copper and made a mess of the cutting edge. I will not do that again. These are marked with a note to only use on copper.I work with a lot of finely stranded wires, mostly AWG 22, 24 and 26. Some are silicone insulated and others use a thin teflon insulation. The teflon can be difficult to strip cleanly at times. I thought the 30 gauge teflon would be an excellent first test.I stripped off a short length and it came off clean as can be seen in one of the photos. I then took the same piece and stripped another length of insulation. Great! The stripper removed the insulating jacket and did not nick the wires at all. I’m happy.I also like that there is a lock tab to keep the tool closed when it is not in use.

I got these and they are exactly what I need. I am a AV tech and work a lot with 20 AWG and smaller. These stripped stranded 22 AWG microphone cable very well. The strip was very clean and didn’t impact any of the strands. Just to see what would happen I stripped cat 5 cable, and it worked great. I know you usually don’t strip back cat 5, but it is nice to know I now have a tool that can, and dose it clean. The handles got wet one day and they wiped off great, and were not slippery after wiping. The only downside that I have is that for me if I were to use these all day I feel like my hand would get fatigued due to the straight handles. maybe that is just me saying I like the curved handles better than straight. I showed them to a couple co-workers and they all liked them and thought that they worked great as well. All in all a great set of strippers for the small wires. They are defiantly going in my go to bag to replace my old pair.
