Works awesome with all types of coax. The only downside is this I didn’t find this one years ago as now we are working with less and less coaxial cable.

Southwire’s Coax Cutter / Stripper has a nice weight, easy to hold, has a locking lever easy to use. The blade is sharp, makes a clean cut with a clean cut to strip Coaxial wire. This stripper has a gauge for RG 6 or RG 59, along with #18. The grip is well made with a nice double layered handle , and easy to hold in your hand. The cutting edge is sharp, making a very clean cut. Makes cutting and stripping a ease!

Nice to have in my tool bag. So far I like how these work compared to the finger spinners for stripping coax, and cut without having to grab a different tool.

While this is designed mostly for CCTV applications, it works well on RF coax as well. I tried it on RG-6 and RG-59 cable for TV application and it worked cleanly. It’s sized to cut through just the outer jacket and it didn’t scar the shield. I tried it on RG-8X and it worked perfectly. I realize it’s not designed to cut the 1/2-inch cable, but I tried it on RG-213 and with care, it cut the jacket and didn’t scar the shield. It will also strip the dielectric from the center conductor on all the different sizes by just being careful.

I had a radio to replace in my vehicle and these cutter/strippers came in handy so I didn’t cut the wires. Nice grips on the handles and easy to hold. Different sizes on the tool is perfect for different jobs. I also used them to redo my cable cords in the house its great you can use on different size wires. They cut clean and strip great.

The Southwire XS-C1 Coax Cutter/Stripper is made for RG59, RG6 & RG6Q Coax Cable. Blades are made out of stainless steel for corrosion resistance and durability. Grips feel very good as they have double layers and are textured for non-slip operation. They come with a 2-year warranty. Nice option they have is a catch above the grip to keep the stripper/cutter closed when storing in tool pouch or tool pouch pocket. There are cutting edges at the tip which is nice when having to cut cable ties. Made in China.

Handy tool for stripping wires. It has a nice feel in the hands, just the right balance so that it stays in the hand without hard gripping. Designed to strip 3 sizes of wire, plus a cutting edge for copper wire and a cutter at the tip for cable ties. It has a spring tension system that automatically reopens the handle after squeezing, plus a locking mechanism for storage when not in use. Comes with a 2 year warranty. This tool is not designed to cut thick wire (like chain link fence even though it will fit in the largest strip/cut slot. You will damage the cutting blade if you cut anything other than what is recommended. Cuts and strips RG59, RG6 & RG6Q coaxial cable; stainless steel with textured double grip handles. Southwire includes scannable bar code for a how-to video. If you have never used a tool to strip wire (that’s me, btw), then it is advisable to view the video. I had trouble stripping the wires that I selected for this review. Best practice is watch the video, do a couple of trial runs, then strip the wires in your project.
