We have been cooking and eating rice for 65 years the old fashioned way..boil in a pot – monitor it so it doesn’t boil over – simmer it – then shut it off and take it off the stove..Now this cooker really makes our life much easier. Here is the good and the bad of this cooker:Good:- easy/simple to use- cooks the rice perfectly as directed (assuming you follow directions)- easy to dissemble and clean/rinse- no need to monitor the cooking- terrific how it keeps it warm until you serve it.- the cup and spoons are handy to use and don’t scratch the pot.- love the options to cook as little as 2 cups to 8 cups..really nice featureCONS:- haven’t run into any yet..hope it lasts.If you cook rice regularly, this will be great for easing your life while cooking.

It is exactly what I wanted. I have made spanish rice, slow cooked beans and smoked turkey, oatmeal, steamed asparagus in the basket and broccoli under the basket, and just rice. Everything I have made comes out perfectly. I love all the options and the condensation catcher is really cool.

Loving it!Us Asians eat a lot of rice and I’ve got plenty of rice cooking experience. That being said, I love this rice cooker because of the additional features it has for Congee, Oatmeal, Stew, Soup, Brown Rice and Quick Rice. I’m used to the over the stove method … or just using a basic rice cooker that cooks and keeps warm, so this micro-computerized smart rice cooker is definitely a step up from my previous rice cookers. It has the same keep warm functions but it also has the LED display, touch button controls and 24 hour preset timer. The inside pot was very easy to clean because it is non stick. The shape is somewhat different than what I’m used to (it doesn’t look like a pot), but the bisque color is very pretty and neutral. I’m very pleased with the end results of my rice cooking adventures and have received compliments on this cooker and my cooking as well! Highly Recommend!
