Micro-Induction Cooktop provides the best in cooktop performance, safety and efficiency. Induction heats as electricity flows through a coil to produce a magnetic field under the ceramic plate. When a ferromagnetic cookware is placed on the ceramic surface, currents are induced in the cookware and instant heat is generated due to the resistance of the pan. Heat is generated to the pan only and no heat is lost. As there are no open flames, inductions are safer to use than conventional burners. Once cookware is removed, all molecular activity ceases and heating is stopped immediately.
- Dual functions: Cook and warm
- 7 power settings (100-300-500-700-900-1100-1300W) the 2 lowest power settings cannot be actually achieved, but are “simulated” 100-Watt equals 500-Watt intermittently heat for 2 seconds and stop for 8 seconds. 300W = 500W intermittently heat for 6 seconds and stop for 4 seconds
- 13 keep warm settings (100-120-140-160-180-190-210-230-250-280-300-350-39°F)

I love this burner because it is safer than non-induction burners, It only heats up the pot (not the surrounding space), it holds a constant temperature, that you choose, and it has a timer. It was a bit weird to get a burner at Home Depot, but I looked around and I liked this one’s price, the lower wattage, and a couple of the reviews swayed me. Plus, I have bought thousands of different items from Home Depot that I am happy about.

As long as your pots and pans work with Mr. Induction, it’s a no brainer. Get the thing. Try it. I have a set of stainless steel Caphalon pots and pans. Only my rounded bottom medium size pot works. The other pots and pans get a beeping & it refuses to function cuz of the safety feature. The pot or pan must be in contact. And it has to be the right magnetic properties for the hot plate. Anyway once I figured that out, I could have returned in frustration. But I’m keeping it for that one pot. Why? Cuz Mr. Induction is so fast & efficient. I am amazed by the thing. So I’m keeping it. And I love using it with that 1 pot.

My cast iron, enameled cast iron, most stainless steel pots and pans of most sizes work well on this burner. Heat level adjusts instantly within ranges available. A little slow to bring an 8 qt stock pot to boil but simmers on low without scorching beautifully. Use it everyday for bacon, eggs, pots of rice, everything.

I haven’t used it yet because the (same band) burner I bought this to replace is still going strong. Now I have 2 unopened untried spares, because both of my 2 burners are still going strong despite odd behavior that made me think they were about to die (after years of constant use – I have no other stove/s). Hence the excellent rating. (Hopefully the new ones are manufactured to the same great standard as the old).

We just purchased it this month. This one is light and compact. It is better than my previous Induction burner which is of a different brand and is bulkier and with almost no heat in low temperature setting. I am able to use different pots and pans on this new burner and all the temperature setting work well and it also has two buttons to control the timer setting. Whenever you shut down the burner, it is automatically locked so as to prevent accidentally starting the burner.

My company bought this to clean electrodes and it brings our cleaning solvent up to boil without too much delay. I am really glad I found this unit.

I love this little induction stove top. and I love the thermostat feature, which allows me to reduce the heat even more. I can bring the cooking temperature down to very much lower temperature. I like to slow cook a lot and this works wonderfully. I bought a Max Burton plate, which allows me to use some of my non induction pots, that I did not want to part with. And my expresso stove top makers. We decided that this wattage is just fine, I do not need the extra wattage, it cooks very quickly when on high. And sooo easy to clean.

The price has gone up from $49. I figured it was a piece of junk but this stovetop unit is absolutely FANTASTIC. No escaping heat or flames around the edges of the pan…all the heat goes directly from the unit into your cooking pan. No worry about my wooden spoon catching fire if left in the pan while on because there are no flames or excess heat. The unit itself stays cool…only the pan gets hot. And it uses about 70% less energy than gas or electric ranges and its much faster because you lose no heat. This inexpensive unit (compared to others I’ve seen) does everything they do and it is actually fun to use. I couldnt believe how nice the pork chops came out. I havent used my gas range since I bought this. To me, its actually fun to use. I highly recommend this.

The unit came packed sufficiently and with clear instructions. Overall, I rate it as “good” due to the typical induction limitations and a weird lower-temperature functioning. Typical induction limitations include correctly sized, induction-ready pans. Anything smaller or larger is hit or miss. As for the lower-temperature cooking? Well, it is a time-division thing where the coils are powered to a medium level for part of the time, so it can be annoying hearing the pulsing and waiting for the pan to stabilize temperature. Otherwise, a good unit that is perfect for making sensitive dishes like caramel or low temp items that are too difficult on a gas range.

Great value for the money. This cooktop is convenient-we use it on the bar daily to cook almost every meal. We plan to use it in the sunroom when we entertain. It is also consistent in maintaining the desired temperature. We can count on not burning or scorching food. We bought it to boil maple sap down to make maple syrup. My husband has used it nearly every day since it arrived. Finally, it is easy to use. Most of our pans are compatible and the touch screen is simple to manipulate.

I do not own this particular brand but have a similar induction hot plate. Offers a great way to step into induction cooking without spending over a thousand dollars on a full cooktop. I’d recommend this to anyone who is curious about induction cooking or serious about saving energy. I’ve tested mine with a watt meter and it boils water more efficiently than a microwave… maybe 3 or5 times more efficient than a radiant cook top. Heats water incredibly fast and stops heating instantly, whereas a radiant cooktop takes longer to heat and 20 minutes or more to cool, adding wasted heat to the kitchen. The one area these inexpensive models don’t perform well at is very low heating. Mine cooks rice perfectly, however, especially with the timer feature… another advantage over the radiant cook top on my range. Try it out. IKEA is a good place for cookware (can be tough to find a feromagnetic tea kettle for example) but anything a magnet sticks to will work.

We were using gas stove and also electric range. This induction cooktop beat both of them. The only thing con about this product is… you have to find a pot/pan that is magnetized in order to work.

I purchased this because the way my kitchen is situated the stove is stuck in a corner and I wanted to be able to cook on the bar that divides my kitchen and living room. This fits the bill nicely. It’s large enough that even a 5 qt dutch oven fits well without worrying about top heavy or tipping over which was my concern with some other models but still small and lightweight enough to easily put out of the way when not in use.The only thing I wish it had would be the more incremental increase and decrease of temperature, etc. like 10 degree increments. It is energy saving since you can cook on the lowest setting and not heat up the house in the summer.Since I got this a couple of months ago I havn’t used my stove cooktop once. I enjoy cooking on it and the fast and easy clean up. Just wipe with a clean damp cloth and put it away. Actually I usually just keep it on the counter because I use it for everything. Just can’t say enough about this little appliance. Luv it, Luv it, Luv it!
