This is a good socket set for the average homeowner. It has sockets that will fit most household appliances and outdoor power equipment. I am a little disappointed that it only has an adapter for the smaller sockets instead of a separate small ratchet, but you get what you pay for. I wish the ratchet had push button release for the sockets but that would require a step up to a more expensive set.

this whole set comes in a nice plastic case where everything has it’s own spot. 40 pieces 1/4 and 3/8 socket set comes with a screw driver handle, the socket drive handle and an extension, also comes with a spark plug socket. sizes for all sockets are stamped onto the socket itself,not too heavy,not too light, i can see this set doing the job for years to come, another great product!

I selected this set for its collection of both standard and metric in a simple storage box. I wanted something that would be easy to store and easy to carry.This Stalwart set perfectly fit the order. I like too that this set also includes driver handle to drive the 1/4″ drive sized sockets, very handy for places the ratchet won’t fit.The Stalwart socket set quality isn’t to be compared to sets costing 4 times as much – it is a conveniently assembled home user tool set and is effective for that and at a value price for a 40 piece set.

I’m happy with the Stalwart 40-piece socket set. It comes with a 3/8 inch driver and SAE and Metric sockets, a 1/4 inch screwdriver handle driver and 3/8×1/4 inch reducer. This isn’t professional grade, but it’s small case profile is just right for a set I can keep in the boot of my car or my tool shed. I don’t expect it will hold up to heavy duty use, but it’s just fine for light duty use and should hold up well. I’d recommend it for the homeowner looking for a compact set to care for emergencies and home/auto repair.

I was expecting a bit more quality from this small kit. What you do get is a 40 piece socket kit with case. Included is a red plastic speed attachment that goes between the socket and the socket driver to help you more quickly tighten or loosen a nut or bolt. Also included is a very small screwdriver handle that is so thin it will be very hard to grip with any force. The walls of the socket are also very thin. This could serve well when getting into a tight space but if you are requiring a lot of torque I would expect the socket itself to fail due to the thin structured walls. All of them are 6 point sockets plus three eight point sockets from 1/4 inch to 3/8 inches. Comes with a 3/8 drive ratchet handle with a three inch extension plus 1/4 adapter, a spark plug socket, and a quarter inch hand driver. Tested this set out in the house for different projects and worked well, also great for changing spark plugs on the lawnmower.

There is no such thing as too many tools !! And because I like to have a tool bag for different projects, this STALWART 40 piece 1/4 and 3/8 socket drive set SAE and METRIC set is a perfect fit !! I don’t have to sort through ratchets and sockets to get the tool I need, this 40 piece set comes in a strong plastic case with everything you need to do your project and cool little slots so everything stays in place when you close it up, perfect !! Take it wherever you go, I even have a set in my truck !! This is a strong set of sockets and you’ll want to pick up a couple for those projects around the house because it easily fits in any tool bag you have !!

1/4 and 3/8 socket drive set SAE and metric (40 piece) is a very well made tool set. It will be very handy due to the fact it is also metric. The handle feels nice and “weighty” in my hand and all sockets are smooth with no roughness or jagged edges. It comes in a hard plastic case with easy opening. I would definitely recommend this socket set; you never know when this tool will come in handy!

Very light duty tools that might get a higher star rating from someone who only intends incidental minor repair applications. The sockets are thin walled (minimal plated metal) that would not be correct for any use that requires increased torque. Overall, appears like the convenience sets that one would purchase in a bargain store. Definitely not near the quality of the tools that are routinely sold through the Home Depot tool area.

This is a very inexpensive socket set. The red plastic spinner not of much use. The red-handled 1/4-inch drive handle is a bit too thin to provide a good grip for using with the larger 1/4-inch drive sockets in this set. A 1/2-inch adapter is included in this set so that the 1/4-inch sockets can be driven using the 3/8-inch ratchet. Other than these few criticisms, this set works just fine for home use. I would avoid using this set for automotive work, however. I used it to assemble a few new items, it working well. The plastic case is a nice organizer. The set has nearly all 6-point sockets, a welcome feature since they work well, being less prone to cause rounding of nuts or fastener heads than would 12-point sockets. Three of the sockets are 8-point type for use to work with square fasteners, typical of what one might find with antique items. Overall, this is a handy kitchen drawer homeowner or college dorm use t that is available at a very low price.
