With the supplied, rolled tip blade, this utility knife is the safest I’ve ever used. With it’s spring-loaded blade retrieval mechanism, you can leave the knife laying around knowing that the blade is safely stored inside. Just push out the blade, cut and release button. Blade is automatically drawn inside the steel knife body.

Easily the safest knife I have ever used with the retracting blade and improved grip compared to other utility knives. With that said, it’s sometimes annoying to have to hold it open. Would be very cool to see a quick change option with this

Great idea being a self retractor but I think being a safety knife the finish needs to be some kind of nonslip. Finish is very slick. Since you need pressure to access the blade, fingers may slip from frame

I really like this knife. The construction is just super heavy duty and it’s only got four parts: the body and screw, the spring, the blade mover, and the blade. That’s not much to break. This thing feels like something your grandpa would give you from a time past. All metal construction and the ergonomics on it are great as it’s thicker and heavier toward the end. I love the orange (which is red really) too. The retractable blade is nice but be warned: it retracts right away and you have to keep hyping thumb on the lever to keep the blade out. My wife found this a bit annoying but for me, whenever I use a box cutter I worry about cutting myself or something after setting it down, and that can’t happen with this. I really like this thing!

This is much more difficult to use than the regular version. I realize it was made with safety in mind, but it is hard to maneuver without the stabilization of the lock to keep it open. You can interchange to regular blades, but why would you? I think for us seniors it’s an accident waiting to happen!

You can’t beat a good utility knife. Breaking down boxes all day, I can’t think of any knife I would rather have on me.

i used this knife to cut and break down boxes and the knife preformed great where you need a Utility Knife too act fast this one does the job. real important when you are pulling the Self-Retracting knife in and out of your pocket

Not really what I was expecting. You have to keep your thumb on the blade refractor to keep the blade out, otherwise it will retract. This is part of the safety mechanism. I guess I’m not used to it. It also comes with one round point blade which makes it shorter. Over all it’s a good quality knife.

Great quality and sturdy to hold. Easy blade change

This knife doesn’t feel cheap or sketchy like most safety utility knives I’ve used. The spring retracts quick and smooth, the body is very solid, feels great in your hand, fits great in your pocket. If you’re work requires you to use a self retracting knife you can’t find a better one than this.

Since I received this tool I’ve retired my pocket knife. Old school design with a simple but extremely effective new twist. The self retractable blade gives me peace of mind that I won’t cut my leg open accidentally with it in my pocket. A new standard of “must have”

Everything I could need in a utility knife. Strong, sturdy construction. Easy storage of blades and the safety feature means I don’t have to worry about drops or unattended blades. This thing will last me years! Definitely recommend.

The retractable is sharp but the blade is not long enough th cut all the way through the foam. It is one inch thick and I have to flip it over.

I got this utility knife because you can never have enough, in the shop, home, work etc. This particular knife intrigued me because of the safety feature. I do like the knife and the safety portion is nice but the slide lever could use a little more R&D. It slides well but in my opinion I beit should have a rubber grip type feel to it instead of the small metal nub thats there. At times my thumb would slip and the knife retracts in mid cut. All in all this knife is like most common utility knifes but with added safety in mind.

Great grin handle and safe to work without cutting yourself by accidentally

This utility knife features a retractable blade, so when you are dont holding the blade out and cutting it pulls back into the housing. Great feature. The one thing that I was not thrilled with was the ends of the blade were rounded — but you can use any blade with it.

This is a great utility knife, I like how sturdy it feels, and the way that the blade is retracted for safety is excellent because you don’t have to remind to keep putting caps on it to avoid an accident. The knife looks like it was built to last. Excellent purchase

So this is not what I meant to buy and it did not work for the job I bought it for… but this really is a fantastic knife and great to teach little helpers or to use on small projects!
