Product works great but the instructions for start up on packaging were bad and had to Google where blades were and how to install blades.

I boiught this in Feb and have used it numerous times, I like the features and the easy grip on the handle. It is also very easy to change the blades

I’ve owned probably a half a dozen of these, always lose them before they wear out. Not sure why all these people can’t seem ro figure out how to change the blade. Very simple: slide the button all the way forward, push the button on the side and slide the blade out. To replace the blade, slide the button all the way forward, push the button on the side and push in the new blade. Couldn’t be more simple. Guess you have to be smarter than the tool…

I found that it was easy to use. Blade changes were easy and had a multi purpose usage. I would use it on sheetrock then use it on carpet (thin) by using the notch were the blade sits.

Reading the instructions on the package did not do the trick. Had to find a YouTube video to be able to insert one of the two blades provided….but wait, the packaging says there are three blades! I looked and looked for that third blade but it just isn’t here. Horrible horrible instructions on a decent knife. You should do better.

I have so many of these and they all work great. I fail to understand how someone would need instructions for this. Super simple to use. High quality product. I can’t believe all of the one star reviewers can’t figure out how to use it.

I own about 8 of these. They fit my average size hands perfect, the blade change and storage is very easy to use. I’ve only had trouble with one, the blade change button wasn’t quite positioned right off the shelf but all that it needed was to be banged around a bit and that was it.

Bought this to use knife for a home DIY project using vinyl tiles. The grip was was a winner, use of knife was easy and the blade stayed locked in place unlike other brands. It’s a winner.u

I have used this knife for years, I own propably a dozen of them. The blade change is flawless if you know what you are doing, push blade all the way forward, past last stop and push yellow tab as directed, easy peasy. The curved handle fits your hand much better than a straight knife. Keep up the good work Stanley.

THIS IS A REALLY GOOD KNIFE. I WORKED HARDCORE FRAMING FOR MANY YEARS AND THIS KNIFE STAYED RIGHT BESIDE ME. I HAVE DROPPED IT OFF OF ROOFS, CUT MANY SHINGLES WITH IT, BEAT ON IT WITH MY HAMMER (2ND MOST USED TOOL). IT HOLD UP IN ALL KINDS OF WEATHER AND SAND. JUST KEEP IT WELL OILED AND IT’LL WORK FINE. MY MOST USED TOOL IS A PRY BAR, IT IS FOUND IN THE PAINTING DEPARTMENT OF HOME DEPOT. NOT THE ONE FROM LOWES. LOVE THE KNIFE.

I have used my stanley box cutter for years now. This thing is as tough as the job your tackling.

I am a Stanley product fan, which is why I bought this instead of a cheaper make. I don’t think this particular product was made for anyone who does not have a Great Deal of strength in their hands. Getting the cardboard packing off was a test of my vocabulary. Opening the handle required actually required the help of a man who definately has strength in his hands (he’s a body builder) and he actually grunted to open it. Did I get the only one like this? It does work wonderfully well now that it has a blade. Would I buy it again? Don’t have to, it will probably out last me.

Easy-change feature is excellent. Took a while to figure out how to get the packing material off (this was WAY too hard), and how to insert the blade… suggestion would be to have 2 easy explanation pictures versus a bunch of words… done. Otherwise this is one of my favorite knives.
