I bought an old Craftsman plane at the 127 yard sale which was in overall good condition, but the blade was badly pitted and beyond sharpening. This blade fit and put the old thing back into service.

The Stanley brand replacement blades are a lot higher quality than the other bargain blades from that other …..place, they hold a edge longer because they are made from better steel.
