My dad gave me some of these chisels. I hadn’t really used chisels before but needed them when making some storage solutions for some tools in my garage and these were quite handy! I they felt sturdy and stable using them. I was afraid I would slip and they’d chip something I wasn’t trying to touch but they were easy to make fairly precise cuts and depending on the angle you can take off a decent amount of wood at one time making quick work of my project.

I bought this chisel set 14 years ago and it have never failed me. The large handles permit a firm grip, so that I usually do not need to use a mallet. but can exert enough force with my hands to cut the wood.

Only thing is put something on the The 3 pc. chisel set is fantastic ; true in size,low impact, a definate keeper in the tool box.Only thing is put a protective covering on the tips to not only protect the chisel but also anyone going thru a tool bag or box.

It’s bought some to work on the joinery of a garden bed, and right out of the box they were pretty good. The grind on the bevel was kind of meh, but a few passes on the sharpening stone and strip made it razor sharp. The steel in the blade is great and held the edge great.

I have used these chisels for several different jobs around the house. I used them for chiseling some of the studs so the drywall would fit level. They didn’t disappoint me. I accidentally came across some nails and the chisels held up. I didn’t have to sharpen them. They still look new.
