Have not used them. Look like high quality tools.Great value !

Chisels arrived reasonably sharp only needing a quick touch up and removal of clear coat. I haven’t used them enough yet to see how well they hold an edge.

rice The chisels are well machined with nice handles, and the Home Depot pice is very affordable. I spent about 90 minutes flattening the backs of each chisel and honing the bevels. These chisels are very nice should last a long time. Use and time will tell as to how well the chisels will keep an edge.

Not to hard to tune up, once flat and sharpened they work marvelously

The backs on all are not flat at all. Looks like Stanley machines them prior to heat treating and does not try to flatten them after heat treating. Plan on spending 1/2 hour per chisel to flatten the backs. After flattening they work well with excellent balance and decent edge retention.

I have used the chisels just a little bit, but so far they are pretty good.

Very nice chisel set, sharpen nicely and hold an edge quite well! Some work to flatten the back was required but not too much.

The chisels arrived in better condition that expected. A little tune-up on the sharpener and they were good to go. Very pleased.

I was using my fathers chisels, new in the 1950s, thinking that older is quality in steel tools. I found that I could not pare end grain with them even after they were freshly sharpened. I had a Stanley Sweetheart 1/8 in chisel which did a fine job on end grain, so I bought this set. They do the job

The best sockets that I’ve ever had so far

These were better than expected and super nice!

Haven’t used them enough to see how they hold a edge but they took around 8 hours to get all of the backs flat on a Trend 1000 grit diamond stone if that’s any indication of how out of wack mine were. Be sure to strip all the lacquer off before sharpening so not to gum up your stones.

Still evaluating them. So far pleased.

The best bench chisels I have ever owned! They came out of the package sharp and almost ready to go. It did take a few minutes to flatten the backs and sharpen each one (a total time of about 15-20 minutes for all 4) and now they are a joy to use! Highly Recommended!

Not sure what the bad review was looking for? These chisels are an excellent value. A quick polish on the leather strop and you have an edge you can shave with. Comes with a leather tool pouch, so you can roll up and keep the edges protected. Excellent value!
