Amazing set of chisels however it came with (2) 3/4 inch chisels and didn’t come with the inch. Other than that, they are great.
Vincenzo Denesik (verified owner) –
Worked great out of the box. Very little honing required.
Jerrell O’Kon (verified owner) –
Amazing, cuts right through and haven’t had any fiber tears when using them, have really made projects easier.

I purchased these SweetHeart chisels to replace the budget chisel set I’d carried for years which had always required frequent sharpening as they barely kept an edge. When the 3/4″ I used most often finally broke, I had no more excuses, and I bought this 4 piece set. These didn’t require excessive flattening or sharpening to get started, and I suspect maintenance will be faster and easier to do. Not to mention the comfortable feel of the chisels, which of course is subjective, when in use. Very happy with my purchase.

Exactly as expected. 15 minutes of work on each gets back flattened and chisel sharp ready to work. Chisels are so light and well balanced. Great value.

Good price for some well made chisels. Required flattening, but I’m used to restoring vintage hand tools. Getting these sharp didn’t take long compared to restoring vintage chisels. Sharpens quickly and good edge retention.

Excellent chisel for making mortise cuts.

Takes a bit of work to get them honed properly but excellent product for the price and well worth the work to hone them properly. These will last a lifetime.

Pretty level right out of the sleeve. Was able to get an almost perfect polish on chisel without going to any sharpening stones, whetpaper took care of it quite well. Quality product and smooth cuts!

Need some sharpening out of the box but overall good set of chisels.

The quality was good, the feel in the hand was great, took an edge good. Did take some time to flatten backs. Overall a good value for the money.

After hours of different chisel reviews I opted for this set because 1) lowest price with $25.00 off for getting a credit card. 2) all reviews of this set found them to be comfortable to use and 3) I preferred socket chisel over a shank through handle, if you had to replace the wood on these it would be easy. Fit and finish on mine are fantastic and they will serve my purpose. $74.00 is still the cheapest on the web.

Take a fair amount of setting up and initializing as all great woodworking equipment does. I suspect I’ll have to replace the handles eventually, but all in all I think the steel will last long enough for my wee ones to start using them.

Very nice set of chisels. After a few hours of polishing the back and honing the edge they perform exactly as they should.

I started by removing the protective coating on the chisels by soaking in lacquer thinner and scrubbing with a rag. The coating was more stubborn on the back side as it adhered to the machine marks. I didn’t do anything to the handles other than sand the point that meets the socket with 220 grit sandpaper. I flattened the backs first with progressive diamond stones and wet/dry paper up to 3000 grit and then to a leather strop with chromium oxide. If you are only worried about getting the tips flat, the process is fairly quick. If you are flattening the entire back, be prepared to spend quite a bit of time. I then honed the chisels ala Paul Sellers method with my diamond stones. 250/600/1200 / strop. They all turned out as hoped and so far with the small amount of time spent with them, they seem to be holding their edge well. Be careful with these socket chisels as the handle will pop off fairly easily. I may hit them with some hairspray for some extra hold.

There are various handle styles for chisel. Some handles are made of synthetic material and others from wood. Some wooden handle has a metal ring on top. Most are not removable, but this chisel handle can be removed.Hence it will allow to replace a damaged handle. For those who do hand sharpening on stone or diamond plate, a shorten chisel with its handle removed makes the task easier. The handle can be removed by simply knocking it sideways, and to re-install by knocking its top down on a wooden table. If none of these features are useful to you, then just apply a little glue to it.

Appear to be well crafted except that they apparently lost their blade angles during polishing.
