Not overly sturdy ..

It seemed well made and easy enough to assemble. However, as my project proceeded and some nonstandard angles were required, I discovered it’s just not possible for the saw to cut any other than it’s preselected standard ones. Disappointed.

Smaller than expected, as far as the table goes, but I have no doubt that it’ll get job done with the assistance of a clamp or two. Given twist clamps for the table go up to 4″ stock, so anything more will take some extra effort by the user

I use the saw for cutting smaller pieces of exotic hardwood. If I need to trim 2″ or less the piece wants to tip/fall into the 1/2″ deep, upside down V miter degree indicator.Even with clamps (and you better get some) the wood eventuallytips downward. The cure:Cut a 1/2″ piece of scrap wood to fill the upside down V depression.Photo shows mod.

I looked at some reviews suggesting that it has some weaknesses with regard to construction design. I bought it a basically half priced and determined that for $28, I could live with having to tighten screws from time to time. I have been using it to cut window trim for about a week now and it has held up so far. I like the angle graduations that lock the saw angle into place. I’ll admit that it’s a little weird at first that you can easily make a 90deg cut, but if you (for some reason) wanted to cut something at 88deg, you can’t lock the miter in place. It will want to move to the 90deg position. I think there are 6 locking positions for the most common angled cuts. Odds are that I’m going to use 45 and 90deg locking positions for all my cuts. For anything else, I’ll use my compound miter power saw. I used it on 12 ft long 1x4in pieces of exterior trim and it works, though I think this is better suited to smaller trim pieces (e.g., cove molding). It’s nice to have this if you don’t want to go around back and power up the saw when you need just 1 cut at 9:30p.

This miter saw does the job I need it for. The stand and fence is large enough to easily clamp smaller pieces of wood to and the saw itself is pretty good. It binds a bit if you don’t keep the blade level while sawing, but it makes a smooth and accurate cut. well worth the price.

Little flimsy but overall did the job. Great for precision cuts. Very easy to use if you can stabilize it. Definitely worth needing vs a miter box

Was just what I wanted

I expected that this would cut at all angles, but it really only cuts well at the pre-defined angles where it has cutouts to hold the saw. I really need it to be able to lock in solidly at any angle, eg 88 degrees.

Finally, had a Opportunity and Cut Trim , this Tool. Am Very Happy on It’s Work. Great Results, crisp cut. My Boss Asked that I build her, a Cabinet Hutch.

The stanley Adjustable clamping miter box was very straightforward to assemble and has worked excellently. I have been pleased at the ease of adjusting the cutting angle and at how the design helps me get the job done by being vre intuitive. The clamps are good for longer items, but when cutting shorter items, I find additional clamps are desirable to help hold small pieces. The saw cuts well and leaves a smooth cut. I work under a bright light to ensure that I can see my marking lines clearly. The light weight makes it easy to move around, but also requires clamping to your bench to keep the mitre box from slipping while using it.

I’m a DIYer. Didn’t want to invest in the power saw at this time & the yellow mitrebox would not meet my need. So I bought this Stanley saw & it worked beautifully. Takes a bit more effort, but did the job!

Works better than expected.I was missing a piece of hardwar:one nut to the saw handle. All parts were laid out carefully:so, I wouldn’t misplace the part.It was a metric part; therefore, I had topurchase a non-metric screw and nutdue to unavailability.

Very easy to assemble and use. Worth it if you have a small project and don’t want to spend the money on a power tool.
