This is a well made and sturdy product with a nice sharp and thin saw blade for accurate cuts. The saw position locks positively into the assigned angles. Nicely thought out features like locking pegs for clamping and a stop block piece for repeated lengths. Considering its price, I can’t see how it could be improved. I have an old rock maple miter box and a metal box from the 1980’s that I needed a proper back saw for but decided to buy this instead and don’t regret the decision. I only intend to use it for light duty cuts like moulding but used it to do a quick cut of a 2×3 which worked well. It won’t replace a power miter saw for construction but great for finer work.

This manual miter saw kit has a very nice saw and makes very straight cuts in a variety of angles. It’s easy to put together and has holes to install on a work bench. My only complaint is the poles that keep the saw in place use screws to hold them in place and they keep falling out. Otherwise it’s a really good affordable option for cutting trim work, etc.
