I was pleased to be able to find this replacement blade. It was for a Stanley surform rasp I inherited from my father so there is a sentimental value to be able to continue to use this. The Surform works well for shaping softwoods and auto body filler. I rebuilt part of a rotten window sill using the auto body filler and epoxy. The Surform was just the tool to shape the material. It is a good tool to have in my arsenal for home repair.

I have used these since the summer of 1970.,They have always performed excellently.That being said, this is my 3rd one ordered from Home Depot.The first one broke in half when put in the holder, and the second one came out of the bag with a piece of the the blade missing.Can’t tell if they are selling seconds or what, but hopefully this will work like the ones in the past, which lasted until they were too dull to cut anything.

Cheap easy way to sharpen my 20 year old Surform plane. I only needed to remove one screw to replace the blade. The old plane is now as sharp as a new one.
