THIS 12 ft Powerlock® Tape Measure is very useful with two scales on it: one with fractions on it, two the other scale is the engineering scale in decimal very useful for converting back and forth between fractions and decimal. for example, if you are building tools (like I am) and you need to get a drill that will be a perfect match with an insert in your project the decimal might be very helpful.Overall the product is a very convenient size for the front pants pocket pr just use the clip to hang it conveniently.i AM VERY PLEASED WITH IT AND FIND IT TO BE A KEEPER!

This tape measure is easy to use and feels great in the hand. I generally stray away from the smaller size, metal cased models and have preferred the more robust plastic Lever lock series as of late but this has quickly become my new go to for small home improvement projects. It is light weight and compact and quick to grab from a drawer or glove box. It has accompanied me to the hardware store many times over the last few weeks as the 12′ maximum is plenty for all homeowner DIY needs. And while I haven’t gotten whole lot of use out of the tenths scale, its a nice option for those who would.

I wanted to write a review on my tape measure. I always have at least two types. I carry this one when I’m off the ground. I love that it’s made of quality parts and is lite. Very dependable and a great warranty.

This is a good small tape measure. It locks well, retracts well, and is solid. I love the engineer’s scale. It’s not your tape to layout a room or measure ceiling heights, but you wouldn’t buy it for that. This is a good back up to your 23″+ tape or for small quick measuring. I like to carry it onsite when I know I don’t have something big to measure. The negatives would be no useful standout, but this also adds flexability for other uses. The other is it still gets kinks/creases like every other tape I’ve ever used. I would still have these all over the house and at work.

This is the perfect size for small projects and confined spaces. I compared it to my fathers 50 year version and was happy to see that it was just as well made. I found it quite useful measure pipes in a suspended ceiling that I was going to replace. It would be a great tool for woodworkers to keep in their aprons as well. This particular one would be especially useful for engineers as it had the engineers scale on one side- inches and feet on the other.

This tape is a nice compact measure that can be stashed anywhere you may need one close at hand. The scale at the bottom of the tape, in tenths of an inch, is very useful for transferring drawings to a larger or smaller scale while keeping the drawing perspective intact. The tape lock is a little weak but easy to work.

The tape measure is the right size and fits well on a belt or a pocket. The opening and return is smooth as glass. At first I did not know it was an engineers tape. However I found out about it and like the tape measure. My preference is still a larger tape with the traditional markings, but that is not what this tape is. The best thing about the tape is the smooth operation both in, to return, and out to measure. Well made product.

Great little ruler. Perfect pocket size. I don’t think a carpenter would like it as it has no foot markings. I find the tape itself a little narrow; print is small for me. The package describes it as an “engineer’s scale” whatever that is. I was surprised to see that it’s made in Thailand.

This tape measure is smart it has all of the little lines with the size

I like the size and the smaller graduations. I wish it had annotations for feet as well.

If you were in a jam with a transit this would work since it’s an engineer rule as well. Pretty sweet little tape

I have a variety of tape measures and they serve a purpose. I keep this one in my truck where it is handy for trips to the hardware store, etc. it fits in my jeans pocket easily and is readily available. It is not the best for construction since 12’ is too short and you have to hook it on something. When you are on a ladder a more robust tape that you can push out is the better option. I like the locking feature which most tapes have. It is easy to read and serves the purpose of being a quick and easy tape measure that is compact and practical.

I got this tape because as a furniture maker, I don’t need a full sized carpenter’s tape. I was also intrigued by the engineer’s scale. First off, the ES side of the tape isn’t a true Engineer’s scale. It’s kind of interesting being able to measure in 10ths of an inch, it’s not something that’s actually needed. Outside of that, it’s just a nice, little tape measure. I wish it had a wider blade, but it’s not a deal breaker. I dropped it from my bench onto the concrete floor and it was completely unscathed. So if you’re in the market for a good, small tape, then this is one to consider.

Super lightweight and functional. Smooth operation. Sturdy enough for use with hard materials and light enough for fabrics and other lightweight materials. As an avid crafter, my Stanley measuring tape is always within reach.

I really enjoyed using this product and its a great little tape measure to keep in your pocket or glovebox. I was surprised to see that you can extend it up to 40 inches before the tension broke. Overall, I recommend this little tape measure.
