Descent build quality, but the tape only shows feet and inches relative to the feet (ie. 63 feet and 11 inches), but no running total of the inches. Some people might prefer this, but I prefer those that have both the feet and the running total of inches as well (767 inches).

Why are there reviews for clearly shorter tapes than the Stanley 100′ er? When the reviewers talk about 3′ or 7′ “standout” they’re clearly talking about a normal 20 -25′ tape, not the 100′ model this website is for.

This 16 ‘ works ok but not like the old school ones. I’ve used Stanley 12’ tapes since the early 80s, in a welding environment. I really only need the first 10, and like the small size. But I also like the 3/4” width because it’s more substantial, and stands out better. The blade is just ok, they don’t last as long as they used to. But the markings are fine. The plastic case is more easily seen (yellow) and withstands drops better. I really wish they would bring back the 12’-3/4” wide metal one that they used to carry. (But probably just for nostalgia on the metal case.)

Great tool, great price. I chose to buy from Home Depot because of free shipping over $45.00 and I needed several for kids at school.
