Cheap version of what used to be a great value tape measure

Works great. I would not expect anything less from Stanley.

The tape worked fine. The metal was a little thin so it doesn’t stretch out before bending as far as other tape measures do.

works very well for the price.

Classic tape, still just as durable from decades ago

I have been buying this same tape measure for well over 25 years. It is the only one I will use. Dollar for dollar it is the best on the market. Solid 7′ stand out. I have NEVER had an issue with one. Yes, they have broken, but that’s only due to use and abuse.

Performed as expected. This is my favorite size for working in the shop.

This tape measurer is in my opinion a lot better to use in the shop than some of them new big fat things. It fits in the palm of my hand, the 3/4″ wide tape is steady enough for longer measuring, better control, and does not flop around on you. It is less likely to get into the table saw blade.

Much easier to carry with you than a longer tape measure. Works great as expected

The tape measure itself is high value with useful reference points and large scale marks for easy viewing. The mylar coating on the tape has been very durable. Overall, a good value for DIY projects and honey-do’s. My task was to replace the one I purchased 30 years ago due to the PowerLock-II 16’x3/4″ rollup spring failure. The PL316 model was discontinued, so no replacement parts, which led me to purchase this PowerLock 16’x3/4″ model. I should’ve known better based on the price I paid. I was happy to find the same mylar coated tape measure, but disappointed to find the tape casing is now molded plastic, rather than cast metal previously used. Knowing how often my tape has been dropped from sawhorse, tablesaw, ladder or rooftop heights, I opted to return this purchase in favor of a more durable option.

I needed a smaller tape measure to keep inside the house for my own personal use. This one meets my needs perfectly. It’s a good size not big but not tiny. The measurements are easy to read and I like the lock button on this brand best.

Bought 12′ Stanley tape measure for my wife and 25′ for me. Removed belt clip from hers so as not to scratch furniture when setting it down. Now I end up using her 12′ tape to slip into my pocket when going to Home Depot. Nice!

Can’t beat the old powerlock take measures. Metal body and very durable.
