Good basic tape measure. I was doing some work in Costa Rica and needed metric. This is the only game in town if you go to your local store. I will see how it holds up with use, that is the real test. doing a review right after purchase will not give you that answer.

I received this tape measure a few years ago; it had a nice heft and the lock held fine in the times I was able to use it around the house. However, the tape developed a crack between the 4″ & 5″ markers by catching on some internal part — and is now hopelessly stuck. it does not appear I can even get a replacement via warranty.

Exactly what I needed. Plus, curbside pickup worked great.

One of the few models that has Metric and SAE… so far so good, hope it lasts

Scales are easy to read. Tape lock allows you to put partial lock on tape to easily extend or retract small length without having to unlock-lock. Inside measurements would be easier if the case did not slightly curve inward where the inside measure mark is located on the case.

I love these tapes because they’re not too fancy, fairly durable and affordable. The only thing detrimental is the tape part itself could be a bit stronger

Very well built. Works great.

Overall decent tape although I’d prefer a rubber type of grip etc, this design is from the 70s, It was the only metric tape they had at HD so I was stuck buying this one. I needed and use this with installing cabinet slides and hardware which tend to be European like Blum so it gets light use. I’m more accurate with a CM tape instead of converting to fractions and that’s important with close tolerance slide mechanisms.

It is THE Stanley. I have been using them for 40 years now. Still have one from the 1990’s. Was so happy to see they made one in metric. Conversion is a REAL pain and I had a bridge project that this made SSOOOO much easier.

It’s a good light weight tape. I like these personally because they have both metric and imperial.
