The tape measure itself is high value with useful reference points and large scale marks for easy viewing. The mylar coating on the tape has been very durable. Overall, a good value for DIY projects and honey-do’s. My task was to replace the one I purchased 30 years ago due to the PowerLock-II 16’x3/4″ rollup spring failure. The PL316 model was discontinued, so no replacement parts, which led me to purchase this PowerLock 16’x3/4″ model. I should’ve known better based on the price I paid. I was happy to find the same mylar coated tape measure, but disappointed to find the tape casing is now molded plastic, rather than cast metal previously used. Knowing how often my tape has been dropped from sawhorse, tablesaw, ladder or rooftop heights, I opted to return this purchase in favor of a more durable option.

Classic Stanley. Hasn’t changed in at least 40 years. Still works great.

Nice lock, however, it is a bit heavy and big for a woman’s hand. This measuring tape definitely adds weight to your toolbox.Prefer it to be smaller so I can put it in my pocket to measure everyday items.

Best tape measure I’ve had so far.

This tape measurer is in my opinion a lot better to use in the shop than some of them new big fat things. It fits in the palm of my hand, the 3/4″ wide tape is steady enough for longer measuring, better control, and does not flop around on you. It is less likely to get into the table saw blade.

Bought for a stocking stuffer gift because he loves them for work. They are heavy duty and work well, but also not so expensive if misplaced or left on the job! Great buy!!

Always by this brand

My husband would prefer to keep his tape measure to himself. I enjoy having my own! This tape measure works great for smaller condos that I decorate.

The tape worked fine. The metal was a little thin so it doesn’t stretch out before bending as far as other tape measures do.

I’ve used just about every tape on the market.. & this is by far the best tape measure on the market.. the blade isn’t as solid as I’d like but overall it’s still the best tape on the market. Won’t ever purchase anything different.
