The 16 ft. powerLock tape measure has a blade standout of 8 ft. There is a BladeArmor coating covers the first 3 in. to maximize the durability of the blade. A compact case design provides the user with a secure grip and feel.

I have used the Stanley 16’ Powerlock with a 1” wide blade for almost 30 years. Great tape and it always had reference on the back of the blade on fractions, nail sizes and nails per lbs. The latest tape I bought does not have the info, it’s a small thing but was always a quick reference when needed. The new Tape seems to be the same quality construction that I’ve came to expect.

This tape is a well made Stanley product; and have owned one for a number of years. Compact, 1″ wide, 16′ with great stand out. Think about it – 90% of measurements are less then 16 ft. Why carry a bulky 25 footer ? Buy two – in case someone else “forgets” to return yours. (It has happened to me) Money well spent. This is an item that needs to be an in store – up front item, instead of the multi-color plastic stuff made by – what company ?

Doesn’t have all the features I wish it did, like numbers on both sides and a magnetic tip, but it didn’t purport to. Nice and stiff, durable, and operates very smoothly. No real complaints.
