Description
The FATMAX 16 ft. Tape Measure is ideal for measuring distances up to 16 ft. The first 6 ft. of the tape comes with Blade Armor coating to help reduce blade breakage and the measure features hook grabs on the tape’s end for easier use while taking measurements. A top-forward blade lock makes it easy to lock and unlock the blade, while a strong spring allows the tape blade to glide smoothly.

This is my FOURTH FatMax (I still have my 2nd & 3rd, as they are impossible to kill… the 1st was “indefinitely borrowed”). Definitely the best tape measures I have ever owned / used. Strong build, reliable action and an almost comforting mass, if that makes sense. I love these things.

The Stanley Fatmax 16 is still the best tape measure for my job, however the paint on the blade doesn’t seem to be as thick as it used to be. The blade tends to rust , leaving the markings difficult to read far sooner than the rest of the tape wearing out.

Disappointed they have eliminated all the info that was on the back of the tape. Drill sizes, etc all kinds of pertinent info. Other than that I am happy with it.

Smaller version on the larger tape. Accurate. It’s called the Fatmax but really there is no need for body shaming it. It does what it’s supposed to do. Measure stuff less then 16 feet.
