Should of got the fat Max extreme. Do really like the lock. Needs a wide end and magnet like Milwaukee. And the finger openings like the Milwaukee tape. It works. For not every day use

Can’t go wrong with a Fat Max. Very sturdy, doesn’t flop over when you extend it 10′ out. A standard tape is great if your tile setter taking measurements on the floor but what about everything else.

Stanley makes the best tape measures. I’ve used other brands but always end up regretting it. I do a lot of ladder work and have to take measurements sideways. Stanley is the only tape that doesn’t curl over on itself.

I got this as a replacement for a 30′ LeverLock which failed (part inside broke and tape came out … and the lever lock never really worked well) but it looks like either the materials or manufacture process has declined but time will tell.
