I had the same tape that was used frequently for almost 20 years. Here in Florida, such a tape can get wet frequently. That was never a problem with this tape – no rust and the paint did not peel even though I sometimes didn’t wipe it dry. My only complaint is that this is not an in-store item.

It is not a bad tape measurer, but when I ordered it I did not realize that it does not number by inches. Every foot it starts over at 1, so you to look to see which foot you are at.
