I personally took this hammer under my wing and abused it literally every day. I am a contractor and for this hammer I was unrelenting. Just as I suspected this thing is absolutely indestructible. I actually retired my daily rock hammer and this one replaced it. It out performed anything I have ever used in strength durability and calming the vibration that kills my elbow. Nice job guys! Call this a win.

Good Brick Hammer. Very low vibration, no hand fatigue. I highly recommend.

My son and I are avid fossil and geode collectors who needed a light weight, yet durable hammer to carry into the back country to use in cracking open geodes. Now I’m sure most people have no idea how hard it is to break open these things, but let me tell you…it’s HARD! Not only does this hammer work like a charm…but the rubberized anti vibration handle COMPLETELY absorbed all the shock! If this thing works this fantastic on something far harder than it’s designed for..imagine how well it does when used for its intended purpose! I HIGHLY recommend this Stanley product and am looking forward to years of using mine to discover these hidden gems!

I used this hammer for constructing my retaining wall in my yard. The hammer has a very heavy duty construction and the rubberized grip became better with use. My only feedback would be to have a wider handle for better handling.

Occasionally I build dry-stone walls around our home. I’ve tried this hammer and found it to be an invaluable addition to my toolbox. I’m looking forward to more stone artwork and stacking projects with this FATMAX Anti-Vibe Brick hammer by my side.

Bought to repair some concrete cracks in the walkway of my duplex. Used it to break out all the bad stuff to get down to a decent base and worked well. I’m sure it would work even better if you used it for its intended purpose of laying brick.

Was using an Estwing – a good tool but nothing like this Stanley hammer. All around great landscape /hardscape tool. The Fatmax feel perfect in your hand – grip is great – able to control nicely and finesse when you need but the striking power of this is amazing with all the shock absorbed by the grip. Great tool gonna be the new top 5 goto tools on the bag.

The Stanley Brick Hammer is a well made and well balanced tool. The ‘chisel end of the tool does a fine job of scoring a brick and chipping away at it. The front of the hammer contributes to chip away and flattening rough edges. The hammer does help somewhat with less vibration.

Great brick hammer, low to almost no vibration when using. The weight and balance feel good in your hand, cushioned handle is firm and easy to hold.

I was very happy with this fatmax hammer, it felt good in hand, the weight seemed perfect and it performed with the expectations you normally would have for Stanley tools. Only complaint I have is wished the handle was just a little bit longer.

Well balanced, works as it should.

I had reservations about this hammer but it turns out its ergonomics make it easy to use. It’s comfortable and doesn’t feel as clumsy as other brick hammers I’ve used.

The hammer is heavy, but handles well. The claw will split bricks and stone and it only takes a little while to get the hang of it. Works good with a brick set and cold chisels too. Would a professional mason use one of these? I don’t know because I am not one. But for the little bit of masonry work I do, it suits me fine.

Great hammer. We use them to break rocks.

I actually got the wrong hammer. Didn’t realize it was a brick hammer. That being said, I use it for other things. feels great in the hand. I don’t use it all the time but the tines when I have needed it, it has come through.

Picked this hammer up about a month ago. Have t had to much time using it yet but the few times I have picked it up have noticed how nice the handle is. Feels good in your hand and has great weight to it.

It’s a great hammer, nicely balanced. Like most modern hammers it doesn’t fit in the tool holes in a ladder, so if that matters, find a different one.

Let me preface this review by stating that I like Stanley products and I do not have another brick hammer to compare this with. I am also not a mason. I did try striking some bricks and it works, the end is sharp. The finish is very nice as well. Polished on top. I like the yellow used in every Stanley tool. When i look around for my tool on a jobsite where I have laid it down and gotten preoccupied by something else, I look for yellow. That bit of yellow they add to every tool makes finding it that much easier. I split a few bricks with the hammer to test it. The vibration damping can be described as how a sand filled deadblow hammer feels when you hit something solid with it. I would think that this would be a desirable feature for someone that had a large job to do laying bricks. I will use it for chipping and tacking. Now that I have the hammer I may even try my hand at some home project masonry like a fire pit.

I bought my Hammer about 1 month ago. I wanted to use it for awhile before I wrote my review, so here goes: I’ve used it on brick and also on some pavers, and honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this hammer. I’m not sure how I got by with my old one for all of these years. This FatMax Brick Hammer is the perfect weight and length to get the job done for hours on end. My wrists and forearms are not nearly as tired when using this hammer compared to the True Value one that I bought long ago. It is a little more expensive, but well worth it, if you plan to spend any time working with bricks or pavers. I highly recommend this tool. It is very well made.
